mad props for the all Japanese manga collection. I like it when english speaking collectors have full Japanese manga collections its very unique. I only plan to collect a few series in Japanese ^^
Welcome back! You have such a complete collection of battle shounen and great adult manga! With wholesome iyashi kei and animal manga as cherry on top. Your poster display is cool too! I enjoyed listening to your recommendations and googled some images based on that. As a romcom fan, I've started reading and collecting the japanese volumes of Seihantai kimi to boku, and I love it! I'm surprised not to see anything related to Dragon Ball, since it's such a classic adventure/battle shounen manga. I also don't see any volumes of Genshiken nidaime... I miss the last six volumes too since I got them up to vol. 14 when I lived in Japan. Looking forward to seeing future videos of your collection and hauls!
Thanks for tuning in! Since I'm such a big shonen and action fan, I've so far prioritized getting a bunch of the core basics that I really wanted in my collection and a good amount of seinen goodness too. Plus shonen volumes are a bit easier to collect since they're smaller. Now that I have the majority of favorites, I want to continue and fill in many other gaps in my collection, especially in the seinen, slice of life and romcom department. There's so many romcoms that I really like and I'd love to add them in my collection but most of them ended up being quite long so I just prioritized getting other things first xD. You can definitely expect to see a huge romcom haul at some point in the future. You and I are Polar opposites and and Smoking Behind the Supermarket with you are both brand new and short series so it's easier for me to keep up with collecting them. I'm not much of a shojo manga reader but I do really want Natsume's Book of Friends and Yona of the Dawn and those are like 50+ volumes in total so I have a long collecting journey ahead waiting for me haha. Yeah, surprisingly enough I never had the chance to get into Dragon Ball as a kid or teen since it wasn't on the air on TV when I was growing up and I haven't dived into the series yet, but it's 100% a classic manga that I want to read, if I end up collecting it I'll probably get the Kanzenban editions. I'm really excited to get into such a long running adventure! For Genshiken, I was so happy and satisfied with where the first part of the manga ended that I decided I would only check out the continuation with Nidaime at a later point and I think back then the manga was still ongoing too so I was like: I guess I should wait for the second part to end as well and here we are present day and I still haven't read Nidaime haha, but I 100% want to try it out. Oh yeah and so far I've only been buying brand new manga so that also limits some of the things I can get, there's many out of print series that I adore but I'm gonna have to get them with a proxy second hand and I haven't felt like dealing with potential shipping issues and customs xD. Buying brand new stuff from Amazon is so convenient for me since I never have to worry about dealing with the customs as DHL does that for me 😅. I do really miss honto though. (as a side note the customs offices here suck, they have very limited open hours and weird schedules and there's usually only one location per county so it's a huge pain to deal with them haha).
love these videos because I love how the Japanese volumes look compared to the English releases and if I could read Japanese I'd be collecting a lot more than I am. So in a way its good that I can't read Japanese because my wallet would not be happy.
Japanese Manga is just so much more aesthetically pleasing than their English counter-parts. The smaller size, rounded covers, and the quality in general is higher. It wouldn't be hard to do this with the English volumes, but for some reason we just don't.
A bookshelf tour from SaberStash? omg!!! I would like to thank you because you've been my companion in my japanese learning for months now. Your videos are my "reward" after i finish familiarizing vocabularies, or kanji, or grammar and I'm very much motivated by your hauls! (I've only watched up to your Record of Ragnarök manga haul and that was uploaded years ago) but i plan to keep it slow and make sure to only watch your videos after i learned something because that makes your videos more exciting to me! I am very much anticipating your future videos. Keep it up, SaberStash😊
