My first and only ebike has a torque sensor. Amazing power for a 500 watt motor. It is a mid drive which means you can use your 5 POS and all 7 gears. More peddling options.
PS Your helmets sound very clear and good. It is 88 here today. I need to get out. I think trying to find a nice used RV is the best way to go. Ever since Covid the quality has gone down. They tried to make too many too fast and I have heard, never buy from Camping World as they have terrible customer service.

Torque sensor is the way to go....I have one of each....different styles...but the torque is better for "pedal--speed" control....
