- Bob Gurr was one of the original Disney Imagineers; Like, worked directly with Walt kind of original Imagineer. Yeah, I know, wild. Bob and I had been talking about doing this show for a while now and I'm so happy to finally have a drink with him! He is truly special.
We talk about the early years of Disneyland, tiki in the 1950s, and we showcase his brand new tiki mug! He helps me make his very (ahem) creative signature cocktail, the Gurrtiki!

Mix in a hurricane glass with 3/4 full of pebble ice.

Awesome episode. Makes me miss my grandfather on my Dad’s side. Of course my family’s from Vermont and not California, but like Bob my grandpa had some great stories of his younger days. We can learn so much for those who built what we enjoy today.

I am surprised that Spike doesn't know how to cut a fresh mango. For anyone wondering mangos have an almond shaped pith, so best way is to cut lengthwise on the "Flat" sides. You'll get two large oval shaped pieces and then you can work around the pith for the remainder.
