I would like to see the robot get up without any external help. That would be more impressive. That is what robots need to be able to do.

So cool.... My friends don't understand my fascination with robots at all, they consider them children toys. So I'm always happy when seeing YT videos with adults interacting with them :) The Nao looks like an incredible piece of engineering. I don't know much about it, I wonder whether the action where it tries to get up is programmed especially for this demo, or is it built in? Keep up the nice videos!

One word of advice to all you robots that one day might rule the World - stay OFF the booze.
Ha well this is pretty damn far from a world ruling robot. A calculator got the same chance of being a world ruler. Maybe instead of booze the future robot rulers would supercharge they self into a drunken state.

It is extremely expensive. Better spend your money on something else if you are not very rich. I talked to a Nao once and spent some time with it. I am not impressed the slightest.

Hi Muzaffar Mehmood, we bought it from a UK authorised seller, but when it went wrong they were unhelpful, so I don't feel able to recommend that seller. Hope you manage to find somewhere.
@@poppymosbacher4439 If you can code the 1st Line in the ROS or system change it to this code. . Force = [F=m(2381)]; .... or change the "a*a" to the variable 2381. This will fix the robot it is a code that runs the SOST and corrects the system. I guarantee it will work if you can code it's first line or place it in any line of code.

Hi Burgandy Goodwin, it came with software called Choregraphe, which has drag and drop modules that you can use for programming. The Nao will automatically get up if it falls over, but you can also code it to do specific movements. @@meou6726 I can see how it might cost that much, because on top of the cost of the components, a lot of expertise has gone into the design and the software. I’m using it as inspiration for my own robotics projects, and plan to make videos of my experiments with more affordable components, which focus on individual features or free-to-use software.

Hi Jaydon, we bought it from one of the authorised sellers in the UK, but when it went wrong they were unhelpful, so we don't feel able to recommend the seller. Hope you manage to find somewhere. We're making a PLEN2 at the moment, which looks promising. With an Intel Edison as it's brain it might do a lot of what the Nao can do for a lot less money. Will put up a video with more details, when we've made it.
