I never really realized before how *angry* Hamilton looks during the end of Non-Stop, and the way he pulls away from Eliza and she flinches? Heartbreaking, especially if you know what comes just a few songs afterwards...
i never realized how chaotic the visuals in the end of non-stop are ? everyone's running around like headless flies and then washinton comes thru like that vine of a kid running another kid over with a plastic car
Great this, here's more: Carrie- The Destruction Once- When your mind's made up In the heights- Breathe Rent- Will I Kinky Boots- Hold me in your heart
@@alwaysanicotti6048 The song is from "35MM: A Musical Exhibition". Katie Thompson isn't part of the original cast, she sings a cover. The musical doesn't follow a story or plot. Instead, each song tells a different story based on photographs taken by a man (I don't remember his name lol). Anyway, the album is on Spotify and it has great songs. If you'd like a more visual representation, you can look it up on TH-cam and there's 2 different shows performed by Broadway Kids, I'm pretty sure. You'll probably find them as "35MM: A Musical Exhibition - Cast A/B". In it there's some choreography and it actually shows the photographs on stage. Anyway this was a bunch of info, sorry for ranting! In summary, it's a pretty amazing album and I recommend it! Since it doesn't follow a plot, you can listen to them without context :)
I saw Alice Fearn live and though she was not *the* best Elphie to me, her rendition of I'm not that girl was so good it made me actually love that song after I spent ten years skipping it every single time
@Anna Jessica Vosk is definitely super talented, but I feel like she hits flat notes too, and Alice Fearn puts more raw emotion into her performances and that's why she's my favorite
Ok but 'He Lives in You' is literally one of my favorite parts of the Loin King. Also that bit of 'Non-Stop' is my favorite 30 seconds of Hamilton so thanks.
LEAVE LUANNE! I've never seen a video like this acknowledge it! I love that song! It has some amazing notes in it, and Katie Thompson's voice is incredible! Thank you!
This has been extremely helpful!! I am singing a musical song every single day on my channel and this has helped me think of more songs for the list!!! Lol xxxx thank you!!!!!! Xxxxx
My reactions to each song: 0:00 I like it, kinda giving me School of Rock vibes 0:47 SO GOOD!! Super catchy song, and idk why but the "ahh"s that the ensemble is doing reminds me of Beetlejuice XD 1:23 YAY!!! Katie Thompson!! So talented, yet so underrated! 2:30 I can't be the only one that can't help but picture Barrett as Janis in Mean Girls, right? 3:22 CLASSIC!!! obviously great song, and AMAZING rendition! Never heard Alice as Elphaba, but not disappointed at ALL!! and THAT RIFF OMG!!!! 4:14 Here's some MG after what I thought earlier! great song, with talented casting!! 4:35 More classics!! Again, super talented, and amazing rendition! 5:19 WHOA!! was not expecting THAT!! I need to listen to this cast album now! 6:19 HAMILTON!! Can't help but sing along and literally vibes to it!! So, in conclusion, SUPER good compilation!! I loved it!! Edit: in regards to the fourth clip (Beautiful from Heathers) I am now OBSESSED with that show (and Barrett in general)!! i knew nothing about it when I first saw this video but know i can't stop listening to it!
i want to get into musicals but i don't know where to start. i've seen 2 musicals on Broadway, the Spongebob musical and Newsies. anyone have any recommendations for musicals i should watch online if i wanna get into musical theatre?
Francesca White I mostly listen to newer more contemporary musicals. Obviously Hamilton, heathers, mean girls, Beetlejuice, waitress, and that’s just to list a few. Some classics though that most people know include phantom of the opera, les miserables (les miz), wicked, the sound of music, Chicago, west side story, etc etc etc

What happened?
My egg roll has been sufficiently buttered
nothing, and i repeat NOTHING, hits like the last part of defying gravity
the riff where you can do anything you want as long as you end with a C#5 lmao
I'm absolutely loving Alice's voice on "feeling things I've never felt" I'm playing that on repeat and that's hitting pretty freaking hard
@@kathrynfoster3758 best Elphaba ever

The MTV recording of LB is literally perf. Always cheers me up.
Taylor Louderman is so effortless like wtf

Right??? How does she vibrato with such a high belt?? Is she mixing?? asking for a friend lmao
Liv R. I think so, someone told me that a good belt is a strong mix and you have to engage/squeeze your core for breath support
@@glasstablegcrls Interesting. I shall have to try that. :)
That rendition of He Lives in You, her vibrato, I got chills
Me too!
