An unusual mix of jewelry in this haul! I did the best with what I had to work with. I ended up making two bracelets and two pairs of earrings. Thanks for watching, commenting and subscribing, Vickie & Mark ~ Avante Jewelry
That big pearl necklace, looked fabulous with your blouse/top !!
Thank you so much! I really liked how it looked too. I think it’s a keeper!
The gold bracelet with the faith charm looks like it has one of the On a Cord or Metal Gallery (Connector Bracelet) that was sold at Hobby Lobby. That bracelet has given me inspiration. Thanks.
We can find inspiration everywhere! Thank you!
I love love both! Especially adding the blue beads to the round medallion type ones. Would never have thought of that, well maybe but they impress me. Thanks much for sharing these beauties!
Thank you so much for your kind words! Happy to hear you like them!
I enjoy watching your videos. I bought some mystery beading bags and I’m down to the small bead sorting, so I watch videos while I’m sorting. I would love to go to some local Goodwills or Thrift Shops to look for vintage and used jewelry, but I don’t currently have a car, so I don’t recycle jewelry. That why I like buying these 1/2 pound mystery beading bags.. They have findings, leather and wonderful beads. I don’t have a very big bead stash and I primarily do bead weaving, loom work and I have restyled some jewelry I had purchased that I wasn’t wearing. Regarding your husband-I understand the Arthritis issues he deals with. I have Rheumatoid and Osteoarthritis and my fingers are pretty knarled. So I still bead and sew, but I have to take my time. Those marathon days of sewing or bead designing for 8 straight are history. I appreciate how you see yourself working now. Age and health has a way of creeping up on us. I’ve been widowed for 9 1/2 years after 46 years of marriage. But I’ve got plenty I still want to do, so I’m not very lonely.Keep up your great videos. Blessings 👵🏻🥰😇💗
Thank you so much! I appreciate you watching my videos why are you sort your mystery bags of beads and findings. It sounds like fun!
I did a lot of sorting yesterday. Going through thrift finds and sorting and organizing.
Yes, arthritis and such can be, not only painful but life-changing. Like you, Mark does as what he can do.
Thank you and I hope you enjoy making jewelry, when you can, from your mystery finds.
Love your channel! HAPPY NEW YEAR! and yes I’ve seen the gold slide bracelet before, they have been a dime a dozen for me, exactly like that. They are VERY VERY common for me. ❤😊
Thank you so much! Happy new year!
I loved everything ! It's 11pm here and fighting the urge to get out of bed and start to make a bracelet .
I hear you! But there’s nothing better than a good nights sleep to start out the next day. Thank you!
I like the blue set. Blue is my favorite color. I learn so much from you Vickie that I have become better at jewelry making. Thanks for sharing your tips!
I'm glad my videos are helping you. Thank you!
Good job. You took ugly beads and made a pretty and unusual bracelet. Someone will LOVE it.
Thank you!
Like both of them but after adding the chain I really like #1. Hope you two had a great Christmas
We did. Thank you!
Slider beads are very popular, being used in necklaces and bracelets. Silicone core inside the bead to adjust chain lengths and bead spacing.
I didn’t know that. Thank you for sharing!
Beautiful ❤️
Thank you!
Ok I love everything you made and I'm with you on the bracelet I didn't the bead bar I thought it needed something else and you fixed it perfectly and I also love the necklace your wearing
Thank you! I'm glad you like it!
Love them both. Another great vlog. Thanks for all your tips and instructions. I hope you and Mark have a very Happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.
Happy New Year! Thanks so much!
I think the silver rings n the lot of earrings would be a nice framed collage picture.
Interesting idea. Thank you!
For the huge pearls, I made a Xmas ornaments for the little white tree with gold spacers. They were very pretty.
They sound pretty! Thank you!
Hi there, you make such beautiful jewelry. Do you do jewelry repair? I have czech blown glass necklace from the 1920s that broke while in storage ~ which is good since I have all the pieces. Thank you!
No, sorry. Thank you!
As much as redos are fun, I think the better the quality of the initial ingredients, the better the outcome. I don’t make jewelry to sell, but with what appears to be saturated jewelry selling market, I would suspect even redone pieces need to be unique and have quality.
If you’re referring in particular to what I made in this video. I started with fashion jewelry and I ended with fashion jewelry pieces. No one else will have jewelry exactly like the pieces I made. And many people like “one of a kind pieces.” Dept. stores carry mass produced fashion jewelry made from average mass produced components. At least with upcycling, they’re one of a kind and I’ve sold many.
I would hand paint Muriels on those plastic bangles!
That would be very cute! Thanks!
I love them both❤
Thank you!
very unusual mix .how do you clean beads that are corrode💗💗💗
The ones in this video were so bad I trashed them. I’ll make a video eventually on how I clean jewelry components with light verdigris. Thank you!
Very good video.
Thank you very much!
Hi Vicki!❤
Hi and thank you!
I'd put resin inside of each one
Very Nice..🎉
Thank you!
The heart is Brighton. You can try silver polish to clean it up.
I thought so too it first but Brighton is normally marked or tagged. Have you seen this exact piece in the Brighton line? When we had our retail store we had fashion jewelry that was “very similar” to Brighton. Thanks.
It’s called BRIGHTON French Quarter Ophelia Heart 3 Strand Silver Plated 16"- 18” Necklace. I worked for Brighton back in the day.
Thank you! I appreciate that!
You can use vintage paint for the worn heart.
KR may be Kim Rogers? I think that brand is sold at Belk.
I’ll have to check that out. Thank you!
Swarovski is now using the same pull closer on their necklaces and bracelets. I know this because I sell them.
Thank you!
How much for the pearls on a ribbon?
I’m not sure that I want to sell it. Pearls are in this year and I might just have some fun with wearing it. Sorry about that.
Why do we have the need to build up such a HUGE collection of beads? I really need to know because i have at least as many beads and boxes as you do. A 50 year collection. I love going through them periodically and just move them around and look at them. I don't think we will use all these beads in our lifetime.
I don’t know about “we” but for me, everything I buy is a write off because we sell jewelry. Even with TH-cam, I can write off everything I buy. Perhaps you don’t know that we traveled and sold our handcrafted jewelry for a decade and we still sell jewelry on eBay.

As for using all the beads in a lifetime, probably not, but they are the supplies and tools needed to keep making jewelry. It’s a good thing my stash doesn’t take up very much room.
I bet you have some beautiful beads in your 50 year collection that would make some beautiful jewelry to sell or gift. I hope you find some inspiration in my videos. Thank you.
