  • It's your boy Domi Congos, and in today's video, we're talking about why freeform dreadlocks might not be everyone's cup of tea. Now, don't get me wrong, I love my dreads and all the positive vibes they bring, but sometimes there can be some real challenges, like keeping them clean and tidy or dealing with rules at work. So, in this vid, we'll give you a balanced view on why freeform dreadlocks may not be the best choice for you, and we'll throw in some alternative options to consider.
    If you're thinking about growing dreads or already have them, this video is a must-see! Don't forget to smash that like button, drop a comment, and subscribe for more videos from your boy!

      @@DOMIBOY I honestly regret my decision, my hair lost the natural beauty it had before....I used to attract attention anytime I walk, now I just look like what they've been used to seeing. Going forward, I plan to leave it, allow it grow and become more natural, hopefully it returns it's beauty♥️ Thanks Domi, you've been a real inspiration in this journey

      @@DOMIBOYnah don’t do it. I followed your advice from years ago and I would rather keep developing my locs on my own. The locticians will tie your locs too tight or they will trick you to believe you need to book appointments with them consistently and this is what leads to thinner dreads that you will eventually cut off. Letting them play in your hair every month or so is a big no no. I notice a lot of girls who get their hair done routinely will usually just end up cutting all of it off anyway. Learn from their mistakes.

    almost 5 months in, about 10 baby locks so far and i've been using clay instead of manmade hair products for my hair and it's done wonders, i'll keep using clay forever locks or no locks.
    Bentonite and kaolin clay are the ones i've used so far, i'd love to see you do a video on them❤ love your videos!

    • @Doc_McStuffins
      @Doc_McStuffins 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Careful. I used clay for years on loose hair that i kept in twists. It gets trapped in hair especially if in twist. Now that I'm loc'd, I stay away from clay. My locs are easy more dense and prone to trapping than my locs.
      Use what you have left for facials and body treatments.

    i’m on year 2 of my freeform journey and 1 thing i can say is that even though it doesn’t feel like my hair is growing other people have definitely noticed my hair is longer every time they see me after months of not seeing me. I noticed mainly because when i look at old pictures and even old sets of locs I had its way longer and healther due to me not doing much besides keeping them clean and moisturized. I will continue the journey and look forward to year 3 and so forth.
