Love seeing other young pilots take it so seriously, great work man! Setting a high bar for our generation, welcome to PHX! I’ll listen for 4PG on approach frequency.
Watching the flight to PHX. Your dog is a good flier! Looking forward to seeing the approach into the desert. Tim from L36.
I appreciate it!
A very professional young pilot with a bright future!!! !!! AND a GREAT flight
Thank you very much!
@@windriver72 When your parents are loaded anything is possible my friend.
It's awesome to see PHX from the air.
Welcome to Phoenix! I fly out of KGYR and it’s fun seeing you fly over my airport. :)
I work the ramp at Phoenix and I am about 99% sure I saw you land right towards the end of my shift as one of the last flights I worked that night was the FFT1736 that was departing when you had landed. Awesome video and loved the nighttime approach!
How cool! See you around
Man, you are so good! Really crisp, and precise operation of your plane. Real pro, what I would have strived to be like had I continued aviation.
Much appreciated
Awesome to see a pilot from Sacramento! I'm close to finishing my private at KSAC and a few months ago stumbled on your channel and a couple of videos in the Cirrus departing from Rio Linda!
Thank you! Best of luck on checkride.
Awesome trip and great content! You have to be the best young aviator I’ve seen on YT to date! Carry on young man!👍🏽
Wow, thanks!
I'm impressed and honored to see a young person like yourself making life happen. No complaining about how life doesn't give you a fair shake. No blaming "The Man" for the world's problems. Just good, old fashioned "Get an education, get a job, define your success".
Good job, Captain..🙂
Life doesn't give you a fair shake??
Did you watch the video, young man said he had a plane as a teenager, that definitely helped him out quite a bit compared to the average person 🤣
Showing some love from the UK! Would absolutely love to fly in the US, beautiful aircraft and beautiful skies! Really enjoyed the filming and professionalism in the video. Great job. Subscribing for sure!
Thank you!
KMCC is my home field and where I got my PPL! Now I am at Embry Riddle in Prescott AZ. So cool to see you fly between two areas I know well!
Awesome man!
Awesome seeing you conduct yourself so professionally during pre-takeoff. Great to see the full checklist run throughs mate! I’m sharing my journey to getting my private (out of KHRV) and this is awesome, I’ll be following along legend
thank you! Best of luck on your training.
Another young pilot who is rated on jets is Flying With Owen, and like you is very professional and fun to watch. I also like that you caught yourself in a mistake and corrected it, good on you!
Thanks for watching!
Yup, Owen’s channel is excellent. And the sheer number of types he’s rated in and skilled in is amazing! But Blaze’s is also excellent.
Just saw you take off a while ago from PHX headed to MCC. Happy flying! Enjoy your content as an amateur aircraft spotter and aspiring private pilot.
Much appreciated!
Very deliberate authoritative voice!
Pre Dept brief was perfect for your doggie!
Made this old school guy belly laugh! Great video!
Thanks so much!
fantastic man! best landing I saw so far, perfect light city and timeing. All support!
Thanks a lot!
glad to see someone flying on social media who is a pilot first and a content creator second. I honestly think there is going to be an FAA crackdown on private pilots monetizing their aircraft. I do disagree with the lack of supplemental O2 for the pup. My vet recommended anything above 8k msl should get supplemental O’s
On what basis? Why? Aircraft are not being monetized per se.
Thanks I think! Not using plane to monetize...all about meeting cool people in aviation. Dog is fine at 11k...Thanks!
People like you are why aliens won't talk to us
I agree, this influencer mixed into aviation is bound to cause problems. I remember using 1 GoPro on a car at the track and what a pain to make it cooperate all the time. Imagine 6 to 7 in the cockpit in addition to have to fly the plane. I know my preflight process is thorough and I mean from days before, imagine worrying about charging a bunch of cameras, sd card storage etc ..I'm only 43 but call me old and cranky, for most this shouldn't be a part of aviation. This young man would definitely be an exception.
Right on you’re going into sky Harbor! That’s where I learned to fly. If you ever need someone to pick you up from Scottsdale or Deer Valley and shuttle you around, maybe to grab lunch or to run an errand let me know. I’d be happy to do it.
Another great video. Congrats on the new PC-12 gig…should be fun.
Can't wait!
Hey, nice to see a local NorCal pilot. I don’t see very many channels out of Sacramento area. I currently live in Plumas lake ca. working in my ppl now. Thanks for the content
That has to be the most gorgeous aircraft I've ever seen. And for 600k new (300k used), it's within reach of a small business owner or professional. AMAZING!!!!
Thank you sir
Those numbers you mentioned are half that but great plane regardless!
@@westcoastflyer Ahhh - the numbers I found were out of date. New planes are closer to 7 figures. Still far cheaper (and nicer in my opinion) than the TBMs.
Nice night landing, beautiful view.
Amazing that this tiny jet has a higher service ceiling and a slightly higher ROC than the Fokker F-27's I commenced my commercial flying career in! Sometimes I wished we had a parachute flying these old dinosaurs let me tell you! However I'm pleased to say that for the entire time we had to fly these old girls we all arrived safe and sound much to the relief of passengers & crew alike. Not an easy old bird to get along with I can tell you but we adapted. Happy flying!
Beautiful sunset
Great video keep continue you're inspiring other young student pilots like myself
I appreciate that!
Wow, that was an amazing flight. Great visuals that was fun. You’re a great pilot. No doubt.
Thank you kindly
Lucky dog (I literally mean the dog) I had some flight time back in 2009 in a twin star back in South Africa. Awesome planes. My buddy was a ferry pilot and ferried a few aircraft from Austria to various parts of the world. Btw, thanks for the scratch pad tip on a previous video. Mine arrived yesterday, super cheap and looking forward to trying it out. Still building my plane and hope to have it airborne this year. Fly safe young man.
How cool! Glad you got a scratchpad those rock!
Safe flying
Such relaxing pilot . Good job
Thanks a lot!

Wow, Blaze. NICE! You have a new subscriber here. Forwarded this video to piloting friends. Very professional flying and dialog on your part. (Would appreciate closer PFD/MFD shots in your future videos.)
Hello!
Thank you very much for the kind words.
I will definitely get some more PFD / MFD content
Loved it man! So professional. I hear some @CitationMax influence in your callouts 😉
Thanks a ton!
DA42 is a wonderful aircraft. I got my multi in the -VI. Excellent plane for cross countries.
Thank you! the VI is a great aircraft
Oh, I just heard you say you’re gonna be based at Phoenix. I didn’t realize that when I made the Scottsdale comment. Anyway, enjoy as you know flying over Phoenix at night is beautiful.
Enjoyed the trip. Blue skies and tail winds and nice to see as others have stated a pilot first.
Great briefing the flight and flying the brief.
Have a sub from me!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you very much
Awesome flight brother! You gotta let me know next time you’re in town! Keep it up man
Thanks! Will do my guy!
She loves it.
Living the good life lucky dog 🐕 😊
Thanks for the ride into Sky Harbor. I don’t think I’d make it into there in my Cessna 150, lol
We hope for more videos friend, greetings from Venezuela
More to come!
fire ass video, didn't know people just chilled so hard when flying
Ha thanks dude!
How many different planes do you fly? Great flight.
I’m so happy your video was in my recommended videos! Great vid and tons of safe practices that not every aviation TH-camr believes in! If you’re ever in TYS with that fancy Twinstar- lemme know!
Subscribed!
Edit: Also, congrats on the SF50 type - I thought I recognized you! - I’m an instructor at cirrus haha
Hey I appreciate it!
That is awesome you're working with Cirrus...you do look familiar haha!
Hope to see you around and thanks again.
Twin star looks fun. Great video!
Thanks man!
Really enjoyed your video man! You’ve got a new subscriber. Great content!
Awesome, thank you!
Grew up flying at Auburn just up the hill from you. Did a lot of touch and goes at MCC. I fly F/A-18’s now for the Navy, trying to get one up there soon. Sweet channel.
Learned to fly at KAUN myself...so cool! Amazing you are flying for the Navy now...thank you for your service!
Show de voo e de equipamento. Sou fã do Daimond. Parabéns.
Thank you!
Great seeing one of our local AP for a fantastic sunset landing!!!! Love the content young man
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm from Phoenix love the video an the sunset also the pup cute
Awesome! Thank you!
Super Duper...cool flight, thanks for the ride!
Thanks a lot!
12:09 I'm glad you mentioned the dog and considerations you take into account to make sure she is comfortable and not panicking the entire time.
What do you do for restraints in case of turbulence though?
nice plane .. beautiful panel .. luv it .. good work
Thank you! Cheers!
Welcome to PHX!
If I hadn't gone the carrer route i went, i would have wanted to be a pilot or ATC contoller. Thinking about taking classes anyhow. Thanks for the videos!
Go for it!
Great video and excellent piloting skills. New sub!
Much appreciated!
Loving the videos! Keep them coming! Considering going into some contract flying, what are typical day rates for you in the diamond, cirrus, etc?
Thank you!
Depends...in the 22T maybe 500?
Everything is better when a Golden is your copilot.
Great stuff Blaze. Curious why you're going from the Cirrus to the DA42? I love the DA's but would think you gave up a little bit of speed. Maybe you wanted more twin time?
More twin time was the only reason…selling it soon though most likely!
I fly between KPAO and all the airports around. Grass Valley and Auburn are favorites.
the diamond has its maintenance at KGOO and learned to fly at KAUN!
Small world. Safe flying
Subscribed and a fan already ;-), Great job
Awesome, thank you!
Good stuff man. As a pilot in training can I ask what kinda tablet u are using to note down ATC stuff. Looks like a reusable whiteboard kinda thing?
I use my phone for all the charts and then these writing tablets becuase you do not have to charge them!

@@westcoastflyerthose look cool xD Imma get some too
Cool VID!!! and super cool glasses!! what kind are they? if you don't mind sharing.
Tom ford!
Nice, I didn't know KPHX did GA!
New subscriber, thanks for the flight!
Awesome, thank you!
Really well done on the videos! PNW based 22T owner considering making a switch to the 42. How’s the day to day operating been between the two? Maintenance on the 22T has been a challenge, getting better, but still frustrating at times. Wanting to get away from the dinosaur engine. What has your experience been on the Diamond? I see the plane is for sale. Moving to something else?
Thank you!
Diamond is definitely doing big things with the diesel engines and FADEC making maintaining the aircraft simpler (every 100 hrs)
Alpine Aviation up at KGOO is the best
what was the motivation behind the sale? Was working with Diamond everything you hoped it would be (vs Cirrus)?
@@westcoastflyer
That landing was smooth
Thank you!
Great flight
thank you!
Very cool video. Very professional flying. What are you using for a notepad?

Very professional
Great flying! What are you liking better? The 22T or the 42?
Cirrus all day!
Can you fly over the dam removal projects on the Klamath River if you have time?
Blaze just been reviewing some of the past content you’ve put in. First Stirling work and please continue your journey, just don’t do the Click bait stuff please.
Toes clear of brakes for the future bud .. can’t wait to see you run a PC12 NGX
Thank you!
Hey Blaze, a nomenclature question. I noticed that when you disconnected the A/P and disabled the yaw damper your verifying call used the word "away." Why that particular word? I ask because earlier in the video you commented about a lack of precision in a few of your ATC calls. Obviously, you've thought about the best way to make certain calls and I'd be interested in your explanation of why "away" is a good word for describing things that are disabled, disconnected, turned off etc.
Great question…I say away because 1. The pros do it and I strive to be like them 2. Easier than saying disengaged
Great Video
Thanks!
Another great video
Thanks!
Not sure if the FAA has different rules, but in EASA we are not allowed to abbreviate our own call sign, unless it’s ATC who abbreviates it first
Normal here…
Wow awesome! I thought you will fly with dog friend
What’s next now that you’re getting rid of the Diamond? Mustang, Premier, SF50, M2? I feel like a jet is next.
Soon we will find out!
from the uk in ppl process. nice job! radio terms slightly different though...
I agree with you! Sounds different listening to UK radios. Fun how it’s all a little different.
niiiiiiccccce.................. 🙂...... great video work
Thank you
What are the costs of learning to fly, buying a plane, storing the plane, fuel etc in the US ?? Curious to compare with Norway :)
Nicely done 😎
Thanks 😁
The dreamer boy
Was not expecting to see that 747 parked there haha
SAME
If you are ever in FFZ lmk! Would love to meet up with some other pilots!
Have you considered getting an oxygen concentrator like Martin Pauley has in his latest video?
I see you fly the DA42 and SR22t a lot. what do you think about the comparison of the two? Which do you look better?
Different planes for different missions! 22T has more performance
@@westcoastflyer That is good to know, I am debating which one to get into. The DA42 allows for multiengine logs for later on when looking to get into citation M2. I do like the idea of hopping into the sr22t right away - it's also more available to buy used. Thoughts?
Curious, are you using the diamond for instruction? Just wondering why it needed a 10p hour?
Not using for instruction…personal plane but that’s how Diamond does it. 100 hour intervals!
@@westcoastflyer interesting. Guess it kind of makes sense.
Afinal!? o cachorro embarcou na viagem?🤔🐶
Yes!
Very nice
I get the airplane attachment, they are like pets.
Nice work, but my only comment would be why take the gear up when you have all that runway remaining my friend ? Makes no sense really in a light twin which you could easily get back down on the deck should an engine go bang after rotation or something catastrophic happen. There is a video of a TBM in the UK which had a cowling fly open on departure. Pilot tried to re-land and dive for the runway which he could see but had already tapped and retracted with loads and loads of runway remaining... Luckily, they noticed this error and went back around but lessons were probably learned there. It's something just to consider, fly how you feel safe or were trained. Just passing some comment as a former DA42 pilot myself :)
Good question! I try to get the gear up sooner so that if I have an engine failure I can take the emergency in the air and have performance being able to climb…this plane does not climb on one engine and a gear down…
@@westcoastflyer I appreciate you’ll want to climb at VY(SE) or blue line and above but I’m just suggesting that by taking the gear up all engines operating with useable runway remaining ahead of you, you may just take away a good option to re-land if something serious happens. Fire, failure or critical damage were the top three I was taught in Sweden when I flew the 42/62 and that was by Diamond Delivery Pilots. I think you fly really well but it’s just a point, can take or leave it 😊 I’ve unfortunately seen a lot of stuff happen in aviation in the last 10 years. Taking an issue into the air in a light twin like you may on a 737 with tons of runway available is not always the best option. Have a look at the crash that happened a few days ago for reference, Grumman GA7 Cougar, blancolirio channel. Was the guy who gave the C401 to Jason from rebuild rescue. Engine failure likely after take off, high workload, ended up in a spin and not making it sadly. Big threat amongst all the goings on of securing the engine on every twin with a critical engine is the rudder running out of authority and deflection so your cross wind effect on the vertical stab if not in your favour could very well put you in a position like that. Anwyas, Enjoy your flying and I’ll subscribe 😊
What are the prospects for the Vision Jet you and your Mom were talking about?
Something coming soon…
How do you get your golden in and out of the plane?
1k Likes. if you ever play MSFS they just released this exact same airframe a few days ago. Positive feedback so far.
How many UFOS have you seen flying around the valley?
None yet ha
Omg that's me
Why did you sell the Cirrus? Have you seen the release of the new G7?
was just a good time to sell it...I was at the G7 launch!
@@westcoastflyer Nice. I like the new G7. The new avionics are teally nice. The only thing I don't like is the price tag. Have you been water skiiing?
I heard you say "We have kilo." What does that mean?
