I love the way your articulate your words, and use gestures so effectively. Your motions are tight, controlled and just so appropriate and powerful. You don't just wave your arms around or try to find something, anything to do with your hands. In short, they do not distract, they enhance. It's a gift and so appreciated! Thank you :-) You've earned your bragging rights. Get down with your bad self! LOL

"Bragging in context" - awesome. I do some public speaking and seminars and I find people take very well to a topic when I relate it to a client doing that thing. They don't even realize I'm bragging ("...I have a client...") because I use it in the context of "I have a client that tried exactly that thing I just talked about".

Perfect timing! I just finished my about page and have been thinking about this A LOT lately. Great to see I'm on the right track. What I did was, throughout the page, I posed potential questions (objections) from potential clients. Then I answered them and... bragged a little. Because of my self-addressed questions, my bragadociousness was in context. Thanks so much!!

Derek my problem is that I will brag about myself but not enough to interrupt anybody or press my point. I think you make a great point about letting people know what the successes are. I need to do that better. Good video.

This has been challenging at times because as you say maybe come off as a braggart...but looking back(and forward) it was in context so I could and will take advantage of these opportunities ...great video once again D-money

Derek after subscribing to your video (brought here by one of my subscriptions) my mentality on success and life has changed! I used to think "I'll do it tomorrow" but after seeing your video on how to get started I'm going to finish all my homework and start practicing my Breakdancing and drawing. Thanks and have a good day!

I'm in high school rn, I'm constantly seeing braggers get ahead in social aspects of life by their sheer charisma. These guys and girls almost oozing great social skills and confidence, even if they're bragging people will still listen attentively because they're such fun people to be around.

So basically if you show that you like yourself openly, other people will like you too, that makes sense. Good video

Nice video: You have a nice channel coming together and a contagious energy. Thank you so much for sharing your tips. One thing I was a little frustrated with is the echo in your audio...try adding some sound board in your production center to reduce this. Otherwise nice work you got another subscriber

I liked your video. And you got me... I don't know how to sell myself... I'm good at what I do, I tell myself everyday, and I know why I need to get better at. But I just maybe learned how to let people know without bragging. Look me up, t3true.

I incorporate my bragging into an engaging story and strategically inject a little self-deprecating humor. "Entertain" in a memorable way that leaves the impression: "He's good at what he does." True story: I was too stupid to realize I was supposed to fawn all over a certain celebrity's vanity TV project, so I gave him my honest opinion on how to make it much, much better. While his lackeys sputtered at my "rudeness," the celeb invited me to come aboard as his equal partner.

Good tips Derek. I don´t like compliments, well, I dont like to receive compliments. (dunno really) But I have started to at least thanking when I get one. So I never tell people I kick ass in photography, although I dont :)

I seriously can't understand how can someone be a bragger. If someone brags about their accomplishments, even if they are credible, I just get annoyed by them. This is something I always hated and never did in my life.

I don't usually brag about myself, but I HAVE had the tendency to show people how I make a lot of the effects in my videos if they like the work. I'd like to figure out how I can funnel these strategies that you talked about to marketing myself for freelance video work.

Up until this video, I struggle with this topic. I have to go reshoot the video I just made. I also like how he moves around the screen as he is talking. It takes talent to pull off a talking video with no graphics. This will help me in the future.

That's a great trick... So far I wasn't really bragging a lot, at least I can't remember. Or at least I remember telling people how bad I am at many things, so at least I got the balancing part right so far xD

This sounds like I’m complaining but I’m trying not to,
It all started when my cousin I never knew about moved to my state. She did everything I did. She played with my bff even had sleepovers with her WITHOUT inviting me. Then she joined my cheerleading team. She would brag every day. Since theirs different age groups in cheerleading, and finally she joined mine. She REPLACED me. I would squat in the back crying as she was doing all the stuff I used to do. The coaches would ignore me or if I was lucky, one of my teammates would come behind and talk to me for about a minute. Now about a day ago I cut my hair. No one noticed but my cousin. The next practice she came in with the same exact hair style as me. Litterally even my bangs. Well bye now i complained enough.

It's kind of sad if you really have to follow all these workarounds. I actually like the rappers' approach. All they do is brag. And it works. They are super popular. Their bling-bling videos are super popular. How does that happen, then?
I am the sh!t b!tch, tell me how I can not show it? :)
