I'm glad I'm not the only person that hates this. I sat on stations for several minutes to get calls. I gave up on a lot of them. I personally ID after every QSO
@@EvanK2EJT yeah it’s not hard. People think if they do that it will attract more callers BUT the pileup itself attracts more callers. Haha people are clueless
I had the same frustration during the CQ WW. I guess people just trust the DX cluster for the call. I won't try to work a station unless I'm sure of the call.
It definitely affects the final score. 2 mults and a few busted calls can be 25,000 points gone. People that win in their regions have very low error rates. It’s good to confirm. I found that out the hard way
last time I checked the rules Id was needed every 15m, then you have the assisted category for this very same reason as well, runners of high rates will not bother after each qso to keep the flow.
I more or less always ID after every QSO. This drives me nuts, such a waste of time. A lot of times the spot isn't even right anymore because conditions changed or they QSY-ed.
yeah I hate that. I understand not IDing to thin a pileup, but if everyone is just working them on the spots, then it makes it double hard for us guys who won't work a station until we are sure we know who we are really responding to.
Lol exactly! People want to work the pile ups too fast
Totally drives me nuts also!
