Love seeing your work space! It’s so nice to have walls that are finished! So Jelly! You can add shelves everywhere! Damp box is a must have in my studio, I’ve brought completely dry pots back to leather hard! Nice video and love getting to know you and you are a natural in front of the camera!

@@SarahWaltonPottery thanks Sarah for you kind words and support . As this space is in my husbands workshop I can’t put shelves on the wall. It’s only a temporary space until I can get my studio built. Then I will have storage to the max lol.

Ho trace! So good to see you again! I was so pleased you were at my live! I was al of sudden so nervous with all of you there! I totally forgot about all the glazes😂 so I feel you about being behind the camera instead of in front of it!😊 but I do like to see the person behind the voice!
And what a great news about getting your own studio❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉

Hi Ellen, it was so great catching you live. Sorry we made you nervous. It didn’t matter that you forgot the glazes as it was fun trying to guess.
I can’t wait to get my larger studio space, it’s going to be amazing. I just have to be patient for a little bit longer. Thanks for watching.

Great video Trace! My suggestion would be to fashion a hook at the end of your statues arm stub and call him a pirate😂
Or listen and follow Nats instructions on how to use bisque fix so it actually works and doesnt look like the mess i made 😂😂😂😂
Look forward to your next video!

The shower curtain is a great idea 🤩

Oh my gosh that shower curtain idea is BRILLLLIANT!!! I have a lot of my space in the garage as well but luckily we only park the motorcycles and a lot of junk in there. You have a lot of wall space to put shelves up. I bet that would help. As for the poor man’s arm I haven’t found anything that will actually mend a piece back onto a piece. I hope you find something that works. Great video!

    • @Tjsclaycreations
      @Tjsclaycreations  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@micheledickey4066 thanks Michele, I will have lots of shelves and storage when I build my studio but for now this will have to do as I am unable to put up shelving on that wall. I’m hoping bisque fix and glaze will be enough as it will stay in place now just by resting it there or I will glue it after glaze fire. I guess we will find out.

How exciting that you're putting in plans for a studio. I rent so ........ I make do with my study. That's now got many things clay related neatly stored on shelves and in tubs. The kiln is outside under the roofline, which is very protected. Obviously a howling wind and rain at a bad angle, may be problematic.
And you're right, our clay stuff grows and expands.
But if it grabs your interest and you love it immensely, then very hard to stop playing with mud. Ha ha
    Happy potting.
    Take care
    Evelyn

@@Tjsclaycreations yep. My study is small and has carpet. Blah. But a dust buster vac and extra floor coverings stops helps to keep it clean.

Such a helpful video. I had to move into the garage when it got cold but my daughter recently moved out so we’re pulling up the carpet and it will be my throwing room! 🎉 I took over the other girl’s room to glaze and I hold classes I. The kitchen and backyard. My kiln is in the garage. So grateful for an understanding spouse! Talk to me about that green thing holding your throwing tools!

@@rosaliehipple8264 hi Rosalie, how exciting that you will have a throwing room. I really can’t wait to build my studio space. The green mat is a baby bottle drying rack. It’s great for holding the tools I use frequently when throwing and is plastic so doesn’t matter if it gets covered in clay. Easy to wash. Here’s a link to Amazon as an example but shop around for best price if interested.

Hi Trace, Lovely to see your space and how organised you are. It will be amazing when you have your own studio! I'm just trying a new 'bisque fix' home made recipe for the broken pottery that I made with Julia, where I attempted to repair a shattered weave basket and a jug. Its looking very promising so far....proof will be in the kiln opening coming soon. Hope to start the kiln firing in the next few days.... I'll keep you posted!

Ohhhh u actually made me cry. Thankyou for the shout outs and love! I had already thought to tell u that I want u to do some kiln unloads from Freddy too as u get back into it and have more coming thru. Another great vid. U r so natural! Being non functional I think his arm will be fine. Mind u I love Karen’s suggestion and put a parrot on his shoulder!! From the camera angle it looks like his head is in his pocket. Is there a way u can sponge it to be like that? Love you xx ps love the black n white shirt very appropriate lol
