In 1975
I used to have tea and jam toast at cafe liberty in the evening and used to go for a evening walk in jhill park.
We left Pakistan in 1976 for Canada and never went back.
Thanks for sharing my childhood memories.

Beautiful video of a beautiful place. You are doing a great job in highlighting Karachi's issues and their resolutions. BTW, here in America, often roads are 'adopted' by schools or businesses for 1-2 miles stretches to clean up littering every now and then. These groups get to put their small signs around such places and the places get cleaned up regularly. Perhaps you should suggest such arrangements in Karachi?? Thanks for the video.

I am surprised why no one is talking about the encroachments over the park area. Please look at the plans and compare with aerial view to get a better sense of how much encroachments have been made.

you certainly bring some nostalgia and take us back into memory lane, jheel park aur jheel gayab 😥😥. so often we used to go there to feed Japanese type fish and this is the spot where I got the fishing bug, good to see it is restored and reclaimed by some influential builder like the one KHOONI JHEEL which is about a kilometer ahead behind Dolmen Mall

Jheel Park was restored and renovated about 13 years ago, during the mayorsip of mustafa kamala. Its been like this since then. Only the quality of plantations has improved recently

It would be nice if you can find "Before" and "After" picture so foreign viewers like me can feel the difference. When I left Pakistan 50 years ago Karachi was city of lights. I was very young but after these many years still miss my country. Please always mention cleanliness mannerism, keep hammering clean ideas in each of your video.
