This just happened to me but I was released from hospital without ulcers being cauterized....a week later I had blood samples taken and hospital called at 4am to tell me I need to go to the ER. This guy is blessed to have the dad he does. Right on!
This just happened to me with no warning signs, I'm only 32 and was caused by ibuprofen and stress. I collapsed as soon as I woke up, had a seizure, and came around throwing up brown coffee grounds looking blood on the landing and seeing my son and neighbour calling an ambulance. I lost over half of my bodies blood and needed 3 blood transfusions, haemoglobin levels were in the 50's (should be around 130). Endoscopy revealed perforated (burst) ulcer, and they were able to inject adrenaline, apply staples, and army cement to seal it via the Endoscopy. The procedure was horrific as I was awake with no sedatives, and as they pumped air in I was bringing up a lot of blood which made me feel like I was drowning on top of suffocating from the tubes! 😅 I'm 3 weeks post procedure, still anaemic and tired but much better!! I almost died and if it wasn't for my son I definitely would have. Don't ignore the symptoms!! 🙏❤️
So far im lucky that despite two days of extream pain, I now know what can make my stomachnuclear, and what helps it. (I hope to never return to that intense burning throbbing pain along with feeling cold and sweating so much) Surprisingly the time I had my stomach go nuts on me, I ran out of weed for 2 days.
@@nekomasteryoutube3232Wow. I am so sorry you had to endure such pain. I am also truly happy that you can recognize your triggers . That’s so important.
@@bone_love I know I shouldn't be drinking but having figured out stuff with my stomach, has allowed me to be relatively comfortable the last week and drink. I really do feel like the weed I smoke helps as I read up that CBD in marijuana can help with inflamation while the THC helps with making you calm and chill (And trust me, being chill when your ulcer is goign off helps a lot as stress and fear and panic can raise your blood pressure and heart rate making things worse. When i was in a full on panic with how much my stomach hurt, I could feel it pulsing with pain every heart beat)

I am fascinated by these stories ever since having a bleeding ulcer myself. I am stunned the initial ER wanted to discharge him *after* diagnosing internal bleeding. What?! You stabilize that, then do what it takes to stop the bleeding - you don't just send the person home. I assume this is a very short summary of the entire story, so I hope I'm missing something. Glad he is OK. I am cautioning anyone that if you vomit blood, do not hesitate to get help. I delayed it for about 12 hours and have no idea why I'm still here. But even my rinky-dink hometown ER knew better than to discharge me. They ordered a helicopter and flew me to another hospital. I bled more when they tried to cauterize and I had to get a coil embolization at IR. Their best guess was NSAID use, since I was negative for the bacterial cause.
I had a duodenal ulcer, from NSAID use and the like. Mine progressed more slowly though, so it got more serious before being treated. The last couple days before ending up in the ICU I wouldnt collapse.. You know that feeling you get in your head when you stand up too fast? I'd get that, except it would never stop. Not that it matteredb ecause soon after I just started throwing up when I tried to stand. my memory is a bit fuzzy between then and when I woke up in the ICU. Was told my hemoglobin level was something like 4 g/dl. I would've gotten it treated sooner, but I didn't know I was having symptom. Because it didn't cause any pain, at least not obvious. It was actually an extreme amount of pain, but it referred it to under my right shoulder. it'd been going on for several months, getting worse. Why getting worse? Because I thought it was a shoulder problem and kept taking higher doses of NSAIDs to stop it. Oops.
That's so sad to hear you are still suffering from this same situation . Am feeling for you right now, I know of a doctor who can help you get rid of this. He also help me from this same situation , He can also help cure yours permanently
I had horrible pain like cramps in my upper abdomen and it lasted for 3 hours I could barely function and it came with chest tightness it was the most excruciating pain worse then child birth I'm going to the doctor Tomorrow
This is exactly what happened to me this past March. Combination of stress factors and a medication a doctor put me on for inflammation. Caused a trip to the hospital and two blood transfusions are now in December. I’m having another flareup, no exhaustion or lightheaded symptoms at this point, so I am on a strict diet to help heal the ulcers
I was lucky, my stool was black and floated ,like real black ,and when I threw up it was blood kept telling myself it was Gatorade, mine is/was caused by alcohol abuse ,feeling pretty dumb over here
U might need to have the camera back down to check it’s healed mine give me pain for months and then ruptured a hole within my stomach this was what I imagine being stabbed is like worse pain of my life they diagnosed mine with MRI scan turns out a lot of people are allergic to ibuprofen so the pain relief was slowly eating my ulcers had to have a graft to patch mine with keyhole surgery wish somebody warned me u have a catheter fitted after any surgery
I'm in a hospital called valley wise here at Phoenix AZ with a bleeding ulcer as well dang this sucks going 4 days no food or water jut a bunch of needles in my arms for blood tests....plz everyone eat healthy stay healthy ....

Your dad saved your life! I’ve been thru this twice and almost died the second time. Taking too much ibuprofen will do it

Can a stomach bleeding be treated without endoscopy due to an elderly having COPD and might be at risk?
