For the destructo disks hitting the ground, you can manually aim them at the ground and if you bait a person to run at you while casting, theyll eat all 3 disks at once usually killing/chunking a huge portion of their hp bar.

that Glintguard guy definitely played DS3 lol. he was very patient, had mixups and didn't have a hard-on for the crouch poke spam as soon as he spawned haha. very fun video as always chase :) someone else suggested it already but can't wait for you to try Iron Cleaver! also forgot to mention when you do, try Sword Dance for one of the ashes of war! if the second hit of it connects, you can do an uncharged R2 to rollcatch like 9 times out of 10. it's real gud.

So, as shown in this video, you can apply buffs to this weapon despite it already having innate Holy. Meaning you can apply things like Spell buffs (which you have access to since this is a Faith weapon) like Lightning Weapon, and in general the spell buffs or greases do significantly more damage than the weapon buff, which is nothing to sneeze at since a 50/50 Dex-Faith build with this weapon does considerable damage
Order's blade would probably be a better buff to put on the weapon, as it stacks onto the weapons existing holy damage. However, that buff also requires 13 int to use, which makes it a bit more of a hassle on a build already asking for investment into faith and dex for the weapon itself. Now that I think of it actually, you could probably just swap the +5 Int talisman on and off for the buff.
Pretty late to this but this weapon really shines in a Faith heavy build when you put minimal stats in strength and Dex and just buff it with Order's blade (it does not require much int investment btw). This way you will easily heavy above 800 AR and unlike the AoW buff Order's blade last like 90sec
Another great showcase Chase, really helps highlight a weapon's strong points. I liked your fight with Hains, the guy had a good, immersive kit and the back and forth really showed the spear's ups and downs

Awesome showcase, this is such an awesome series. I'd like to suggest Flowing Curved Sword because it has a unique R2 and charged R2 which could be fun for you to try out.

im loving the greatspears but theres so few it makes it feel like im stuck with the lance if i wanna infuse. just started a new run with a golem halberd and it getting charge forth is pretty unique i recommend giving it a try
Chase, can you do either Carian Knight Sword or Lazuli Glintstone Sword next? These two straight swords have very unique R2s, which can block attacks during their charge animation. It would be lovely to see them being put to good use by someone like you!
Please do a double PIKE weapon review next! I personally use the beast roar on the back hand and sword dance/giant hunt on the main, very versatile, love the videos! I've watched every weapon showcase, and as a new player to the souls series, they have helped immensely, thank you! and very fun fight :)
You should do the watchdog staff! Great ash of war that uses 5 or so glintstone pebbles to keep ur opponent at a distance for pvp its a colossal weapon so no one expects its move set, and heavy damage!
I had really great times with the Watchdog's Staff, even winning a 3v1 once (I'm kinda bad). Awesome weapon art, and I love the colossal weapon moveset. Good damage too without too much stat spread...

I've seen you do this before the duels on most of your weapon showcases, but I can't recall you actually using it. I've not tried the move before, it looks quite complicated. How useful is it in practice?
So fun note about the this and a few other ashes of war that buff without dealing damage like sacred blade, is the ar bonus is pretty flat so early one they are pretty big but get worse over the course of the game. Vs many spell buffs or weapon greases take a percentage increase to ar. Making them much better at the later parts of the game.
Love this series, you have such a great, chill attitude towards duelling. I tried it for the first time last night - didn't go well, maybe 1 and 10 . I suspect the 1 was an accident 😄.

I think in an attempt to fix broken or op weapons ur lock on is based wherever ur character is facing not wherever ur looking (such as in ds3) it's subtle but noticable update
Some double dagger action maybe? Such as Scorpion's Stinger or some daggers with poison? Been dabbling with it lately and it quite fun\interesting as it adds a lot of pressure (plus works even if you phantom hit them in rolls)

i recently picked up the Wing of Astel and i gotta say, im in love with the thing.... it shreds in pve and its kind of a mini moonveil in pvp, one people aren't familiar with fighting.... its especially fun when powerstanced Co-Op invasions are the most fun thing EVER in elden ring.... i WISH that the player cap was not just 4, why cant it be 6 or 8.... imagine a 4 v4 invader and phantom war
Chase you really really need to do a Rapier or Misericorde Critical build with how often you backstab. Run the Cerulean & Crimson Dagger Talismans. The Dagger talisman and shard of Alexander.
have you tried marais' sword? i used it myself but i have no idea how its like in pvp i can tell that its drill could be terrifying for roll catches though
i just read this on the wiki about the ash of war sacred order: Upon testing, this appears to add +10% Holy damage to BOTH weapons for 30 seconds (tested from as soon as I was able to swing weapon). Can be used on each weapon to stack the +10% Holy damage buff multiplicatively (so it's more like +21% Holy damage to both weapons). also - apparently it buffs 10% holy damage on all other weapons you are holding so you could be using incantations or apparently even throwing out healing spells and it will increase their efficiency by 10% does anyone know if that is true or not? sounds like it could be better than what chase is saying

Scarlett rot great axe with lion claw is broken, you should try it, poises through and staggers everything, you can spam it, even staggers opponents you miss. I went through entire playthrough spamming special attack.
I've kept my faith character low level (he's 75 now), and as soon as I beat Godfrey, I've been doing nothing but PVP with him in Liurnia. Popping tongue to fight invaders and invading others, mostly. And since I found that Treespear, it's all I've used. It's phenomenal. Being able to buff it despite its innate lightning damage is great. I'll alternate between buffing with Electrify Weapon, or if someone has huge HP and is using a shield, I'll buff it with Black Flame Blade to burn through their HP. The moveset is really great, though, it rewards heavy aggression and it's super good for chasing runners. And that charged R2 is a god damn nuke, especially if you hit with both attacks and get a counter on the second hit. Absolutely beastly.
You know what I don't understand? A bunch of weapons have a two part heavy, but only a few come out in both charged and uncharges states. For weapons like rogier's rapier, it becomes a very useful tool for damage, mixups, and stat application. But for weapons like the treespear, it might as well not exist unless you're memeing.
I would love to see the caestus or That one flowing water curved sword in one of these showcases. I already used the caestus in conjunction with the claymore and ballista (strength ftw right? lol)

I’ve personally never encountered powerstanced great spears yet. People don’t know the move set so it performs amazing at the moment

Yep, exactly the reason Chase and Oroboro are my favorite Souls pvpers. Their enjoyment is plain to see, even on the occasion they get wrecked.

Have you considered trying some daggers in the showcases? Erdsteel has a fun moveset
This gives a holy buff to any secondary weapon. Use ash of war and switch to any weapon and you’ll see it glow.
I'd like to see one of the fist weapons like the Katar or star fist. They are much better than I originally expected

try the flamberge the greatsword with bleed you can add another status buildup on it if you like as it's a normal weapon

You can get the ash of war to be stronger if you go more into faith, and in turn get better AR, al though you will get lower AR when unbuffed

I used this weapon from level 26 to level 125. The sprinting R2 is the ultimate roll-catch chase for runners

You want to play around with a monster of mix ups try the beast man curved sword(not the big boy) thing has jump attacks with two hits and heavies.
Oh I love the treespear, I pair it with a bashing greatshield though. Its own weapon art is kinda useless so it's the ideal option for that
To elaborate Order's Blade is a better buff than Sacred Order so that's why it is useless to me personally
