Hello sir, Im currently doing a project based on horizontal road curves, however, I've been having a hard time looking for ways to measure the maximum speed allowed on curves other than simple curves. So far I've only stumbled upon methods like surveying and using ball bank indicators, but what exactly do engineers do to determine the maximum speed when designing the curves? Thanks in advance.
thank you very much! but are design speed and advisory speed the same? which one ends up on speed signs, the design speed or advisory speed? just to be clear, Im referring to speed at road curves.
no dear, road are never designed for advisory speed. there is always factor of safety. road or highway is designed for design speeds where are always more in value than advisory speed

Design speed depends on
geometric design of road features
planned operating speed
legislated speed limit caps
anticipated traffic volume
the road's functional classification
Already built roads

sometimes, hollow concrete blocks are measured in square meter
Yes

Stop subtitle , said many time
In this video. I have not provided subtitles. You just stop it from you device
Who did it , why disturb ur lecture
Dear you can stop that from your TH-cam just by going to settings
