I think a good explanation is the story around 9 minutes where a man asks for shafa'a from the Prophet (SAS) and Prophet (SAS) asks him to help by doing more sujood. A major point, shafa'a can be given but doesn't mean you will get it. In the end it is up to Allah.

Allah said that a day will come when there is no shafaa’a accepted (2:254). Did Allah lie? Is shafaa’a accepted and the ayah just a joking? No, the truth is that a day will come when shafaa’a is not accpeted. Nor is close friendship, nor is trading. In that ayah there are 3 factors that are off. They don’t do anything. It calls the believers “Yaa ayuhallazhiina aamanu”. Did we hear the call? Did we skip it? Just take the ayah. Its easy. The qur’an is proven and strengthened by internal confirmation and structure. Take the qur’an and do not accept whatever hadith contradict it because they cannot both be right. While shafaa’a exists, as Allah has told us in the qur’an, there are rules and mechanics that govern it. Fasting exists, but there are rules governing it. Marriage exists, but there are rules governing it. Shafaa’a exists, but there are rules governing it. One of those rules is that there is a day when there is no shafaa’a in it (2:254). “Wa laa shafaa’a”.
In surah al an'am 6:51 "... those who fear they will be gathered before their Lord for them besides Him(God) will be no protector nor intercessor..." isnt God clearly saying there won't be any intercessor except Himself then what are you talking about can you please explain?
Najma Khan, if at one point God says there can be no intercessor except Him and at another He says there can be intercessors other than Him whom he allows to intercede then this looks to me like a contradiction in the Quran.

Here giving permission is conditional as well as abt this condition u can get sura An-Naba' 78:38 يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلرُّوحُ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ صَفًّاۖ لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابًا The Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand in rows, they will not speak except for one whom the Most Merciful permits, and he will say what is correct.
U know that, conditional things are not Counted as general. If u r Muslim, u can see ur shahadah such that condition. I bear witness that, "there is no got but Allah" Here u can get a contradiction (Na'ujubillah)
@@chikiwiki0807 brother, in one verse GOD says He created Adam from "turaab". In another verse, HE says from "Hama im masnun ". Both of them have different meanings. It doesn't mean a contradiction in the Qur'an. It simply means the states of the material went through with time. As for intercession, ALLAH is the only intercesser. However, some people will be ALLOWED to interceded with the permission of GOD. You see, GOD is ultimate intercesser. It goes back to HIM in the end. HE wants it happen, that's why it'd happen. It's not like someone can stand up and force GOD to forgive someone. Hope you understand and We are in constant need of HIS guidance. Assalamu Alaikum

As I understand children who are before the age of discernment are still considered Muslim because its the nature of the human to be one that submits to Allah. As for the parents I'm not sure. Allah knows best
