    Duaa at 37:18
    Allahumma as'aluka ladhatan-nazari ila wajhika wash-shawqa ila liqa'ika.
O Allah, I ask You for the sweetness of looking upon Your face and a longing to meet You, in a manner that does not entail a calamity that will bring about harm or a trial that will cause deviation.

Allah says in the Glorious Qur'an Surah 6:103 "No vision can grasp Him (Allah), but His grasp is over all vision, He is the Most Subtle and Courteous, well acquainted with all things." With this verse along with Allah saying that He is All-Hearing and All-Seeing my heart finds rest and satisfaction, I leave it at that, instead of thinking too much about how no vision can grasp Allah and how Allah sees and hears all things, we human beings cannot even come near comprehending such things and were not meant to know how Allah hears and sees all things, etc.

Shaykh, you are the exact reason why the ulama tell us never to do taqleed in aqeedah.
With utmost respect Shaykh, you deliberately misrepresent both your own view and the "other" view.
Firstly you say your view is upheld by Bukhari, Imam Ahmad etc. It is clearly not, and even if it was, Imam Bukhari was accused of being a Kullabi for what he said regarding Allah's speech. Also it is easy to mistake real Athari aqeedah (what you would call the aqeedah of Ibn Qudamah) with the Aqeedah of Ibn Taymiyyah which is what you follow. Let's make it clear, none of the famous authorities of hadith follow this aqeedah, although you made it seem that way. Yes, I have no problem affirming that Bukhari, Imam Ahmad and the early muhadithun followed true Athari aqeedah, but it is of the type of Ahmad bin Hanbal, Abu Bakr al-Ismai'li, Ibn al-Banna, Ibn Qudamah, Ibn Hamdan, al-Balbani and al-Safarrini Rahimullah Alayhum. With regards to the coming of Allah they would likely say the following, "We affirm it bi la kayfa" i.e. they would affirm it without saying how.
(Also before anyone brings this point, Kitab as-Sunnah attributed to Imam Ahmad Bin Hanbal, is unreliable: I have read that Shaykh Shu‘ayb al-Arna’ut says that at least half of the reports are weak or forged.)
Secondly you brought "Uthman ibn Sa‘id al-Darimi" as the first one who upheld your viewpoint. I do not doubt whatsoever that he is of your Madhab. It is quite interesting, your methodology for determining whether an opinion of theology is correct is simply how early it is. By that logic we should all be following the real "theologian" from the Salaf - Wasil Ibn Ata the Mu'tazili. Of course you will agree with me that doing that would be a bad idea, so why have this methodology of "earlier is better" There were heretics early on, so you can by all means follow them, but you are not necessarily following the Aqeedah of the Sahabah.
Thirdly, it is interesting to note how you hype up Uthman Ibn Sa'id al-Darimi. Just to make it clear, he is not the same al-Darimi who wrote al-Sunan (he died roughly 15 years before) - Abu Muhammad Abdullah Bin Abdur Rahman Al-Darimi. In fact who knows or relates from Uthman Ibn Sa'id al-Darimi? Do the authors of the six books? Also, I have read that Imam al-Kawthari makes the point that Uthman ibn Sa'id holds that Allah has a limit in that book. However he makes the point that Imam Shafi'i in his Fiqh al-Akbar states that Allah does not have any limit. So who is more correct? Uthman Ibn Sa'id or Shafi'i?
(And this is proof that Imam Shafi'i is not upon the Aqeedah of Ibn Sa'id...)
Fourthly you brough al-Tabari Rahimullah Alay as evidence for your view. But Imam al-Tabari also makes tawil of the verses of Allah's attributes in his tafsir...
Fifthly, and most importantly to me, you blatantly misrepresent the Maturidi/Ash'ari schools by saying they derived their theology from the Mu'tazila. You yourself know their theologies are different. If you want to argue who their aqeedah developed from be honest - it developed from Imam Abu Hanifa (whose own Aqeedah comes from Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud RA), Imam Shafi'i (who held Kalam is permissible and fard al-Kifayah) and Ibn Kullab (who had his differences with Imam Ahmad). Their were Hanbali scholars holding your aqeedah who at least were honest in attacking such people, scholars such as al-‘Uqayli.
Sixthly, Ibn Abbas Radiyallahu An makes tawil of Saaq (shin) in Mustadrak of Imam Hakim, and Imam Hakim authenticated it and ad-Dhahabi concurred. Meaning this methodology of making tawil comes from the Sahabah, although even Ash'aris and Maturidis admit that we should not make tawil of the attribute (only the verse) and that it shouldn't be used all the time. Saaq is not an attribute - it is never authentically attributed to Allah (regarding the hadith in Bukhari, check the one before).
Finally, Imam Muslim and Imam Tirmidhi show what their aqeedah is through the fact that they included the dua where the Prophet SAWS says, "there is nothing dunaka (below) you" E.g. see (Sahih Muslim 2713 three hadith, Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3400; Darussalam [English] Numbering) Or do you make Tafwid al-Ma'na of this whilst prohibiting Tafwid al-Ma'na of other things? And do you not negate the apparent meaning of the Hadith Allah is Time (ad-Dahr)? So do you have one methodology at one point and another methodology at another point?
We accept Ash'ari, Maturidi or (true) Hanbali aqeedah, and do not differentiate between them. Nor should the schools make hostile refutations of each other. What has happened to the Hanbali school now is what happened to the Hanafi school in early islamic history.

@@Mh4lotron He is indeed very knowledgeable, as al-Zamakhshari, Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibnul Qayyim and Muqatil bin Sulayman were (comparing how they were knowledgeable but not exactly good representations of orthodoxy). I do not criticise him because I hate the Shaykh, I would much prefer it if he never brought up these issues of Aqeedah or misrepresenting Sunni groups when giving his series.
I do not have a problem with the series apart from that - I just ask that as a fellow Muslim you do not start uncritically accepting everything you hear as you can fall into Kufr, much less Bid'ah. Take the good and leave the bad and recognise there is both. Of course my own knowledge in issues of Tafsir etc. is no way near his.

    259. Or [consider such an example] as the one who passed by a township which had fallen into ruin. He said, "How will Allah bring this to life after its death?" So Allah caused him to die for a hundred years; then He revived him. He said, "How long have you remained?" The man said, "I have remained a day or part of a day." He said, "Rather, you have remained one hundred years. Look at your food and your drink; it has not changed with time. And look at your donkey; and We will make you a sign for the people. And look at the bones [of this donkey] - how We raise them and then We cover them with flesh." And when it became clear to him, he said, "I know that Allah is over all things competent."

This is what I don't understand. Yasir Qadhi has said Ashari school is a legitimate school within Sunni Islam. The tradition goes back over 1000 years. But does this necessitate the kwaarij or Shia are legitimate schools as they have been around even longer.
Interesting how the best of generations did not do taweel of the Attributes of Allah. Logic would then tell you the Ashari school is one of innovation as they went against the principle of affirming all of Allah's Attributes. From what I understand, instead of relying upon the principle established by the great imams, they relied on the philosophical principles mainly extracted from the works of Aristotle.

Greenfield121 These people who interpret the Qur’aan in this manner, whether they are called Ash’aris or some other name, have gone astray from the path of the righteous salaf. Not even one letter of what these people say in their misinterpretations has been narrated from the righteous salaf. Let them bring one word from the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), or from Abu Bakr, or ‘Umar, or ‘Uthmaan, or ‘Ali, to say that they interpreted Allaah’s hand as meaning His power, or that they interpreted His being above the Throne (istiwaa’) as referring to His Sovereignty, or that they interpreted His Face as meaning reward, or that they interpreted His love as meaning reward, etc. Let them produce one word from them to show that they interpreted these aayahs and similar verses in the manner that these people interpret them. If they cannot produce any such thing, let it be said that either the righteous salaf, headed by the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), the leader of the pious, were unaware of the meaning of this tremendous ‘aqeedah (of Islam), or they did know it but they concealed the truth. But neither of these can be said of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) or of any of the Rightly-Guided Khaleefahs, or of his Companions (may Allaah be pleased with them). If that is the case then we have to follow their path (the path of the Prophet and the Rightly-Guided Khaleefahs).

Our Deen (religion) is based on three fundamental pillars, belief in Allah, belief in Prophet Muhammad(SAW), and belief in the day of judgment!
In Albania, Europe, Sunni belivers , we admit Islam is based on 5 pillars not on three ! you forgot 2 : fasting Ramadan and Giving Zakat! Iman is based on 6 pillars one of them is day of judgement !

To ur question, from my understanding (and I could be wrong obviously) your rankings can increase based on ur deeds and actions. For example, those who memorized the Quran will increase a higher level for every verse they memorized (lived and believed). I’m sure they’re are other examples, I’m still learning too lol ur 10 months ahead of me

Very humble way, there should be a mechanisms e.g 18+ or for advanced students or similar methods established by groups of sheiks to make mechanism which helps methodically to make an advancement for understanding of theology to Ordinary Muslims. The day of judgement is my favorite topic, even though its the most scariest, seriously I am embarrassed of my deeds.
On topics of where Allah swt, coming down etc, the hanafi ulema discourage going into these topics too much, asking too much questions and contemplating Allah swt too much, who is beyond comprehesion, we risk restricting Allah swt, they advise the average muslims just takes things literallyin Quran and hadiths and do not contemplate it. Even they discourage ulema to go into too much. We do not want to resemble jews in asking too many questions and things become nonsensical. These topics do not effect our exam.
I noticed the four schools of thought may discuss issues with enthusiasm but when the topic ends, they embrace each other as brothers. Thats how it should be. I was salafi, seeing this bought me great relief mashallah
Soo much lies have been spread about the ulema of deoband, restricting it to a particular tribe of people, treating it like a sect when they never claim to be sect, they are just followers of Hanafi school, students of hanafi school. Your approach is simply identical to the four schools of thought. Ps they do not worship their imams ever.
