🌟 DESCRIPTION🌟
Following the events of Pikmin 3, Captain Olimar returns to PNF-404, an Earth-like planet he has visited before, with his old ship the SS Dolphin. A freak accident causes his ship to crash land, whereupon he is forced to recruit Pikmin once again to help him find the ship's missing parts. During his search, Olimar bonds with a dog-like creature that he names Moss. After finding his ship's missing radio within the interior of a large house, Olimar transmit an SOS call, along with his voyage logs.

I am slightly disappointed that Pikmin Earth is apparently still very much inhabited by humans. I always liked the idea of a post apocalyptic Earth which in the end doesn't really matter to the story of Pikmin. It gave this apocalypse something peaceful.
Now however we see very clean interiors... and all the magic is gone.

Yeah, it was interesting seeing all the lost treasure of an abandoned Earth in the second game, I think you can even get a set of dentures which terrifies Olimar in wondering what they come from, and it was interesting seeing them imagine how all that stuff is even used. :p
I guess in a world still inhabited by people they can get some of those questions answered now? :? Hmm... not sure about that... how would humans even interact with them? :p Kind of leaves me curious, but I also kind of like the mystery the old games had. :?
Not gonna lie, pretty disappointed the surface enemies don't respawn. One of my favorite parts of the game was having to re-battle enemies after ping ponging from area to area to 100% 1 & 2
So happy they don't respawn. Was tired of them coming back every three or so days while Im trying to 100 everything.

also 3 did this also and the enemies were fun to fight over and over growing massive pikmin armies

Cant you just control your Pikmin with the control stick instead of throwing them at everything. It would save alot of time.

You can use the control stick to direct your Pikmin, my point was why aren't you doing it. Throwing Pikmin at everything is a waste of time. And yes I have seen other players use the control stick so I know it can be done. Just like Pikmim 1, 2, 3.

That’s not the real ending because when I played it there was more after the credits where oatchi can’t go back to the planet because of his tail so you have to find a veterenarian castaway to save oatchi

Its interesting, but the opening area is incredibly suggestive, also there's some things that fail to be consistent with the previous games in the series right off the bat. I have lots of questions, lets see if they get answered as I watch more.

I'm almost 100% done with Pikmin 4 and it's the best of the Pikmin and I've completed all of them many times to a 100%.
It's different, it changes things up, but at its core it's the most refined Pikmin adventure yet.

@@Rocky712_ I will say he is right that it does have some major flaws from the game design perspective holding it back.
The reason it has these mistakes is because they chose to make it a direct sequel with the other Pikmin games instead of it being its own unique thing. Sequels are great don't get me wrong, but to do it right you have to both start with full respect to the game you are a sequel to and end with full respect of the game that comes after you.
I think this game might be a continuation of the bad ending from Pikmin 1, so it it gets immunity from events coming after it, but it fails with events before it.
For example, Pikmin 1's bad ending ends with Olimar being turned into a Pikmin, therefore, Olimar can never have a rescue pup. Additionally, its stated that rescue pups originated as a species on 2 different planets the exact same. both on Hocotate and on Earth which is a flaw in logic due to how evolution works.
Also there is another major flaw. The opening scenes occur inside a clean house. The reason this is an error is because if its clean humanity very much exists. Whereas this world is set to be post apocalypse.
The mechanics also have issues, but that doesn't really belong here.
The biggest point is that there are some bad story flaws, in game design the first thing to really do is build a progression of story, so the fact its flaw ridden says something and makes it likely there will be flaws elsewhere too.
With game design by far the most difficult things to design around are repeating events in a world that doesn't repeat. Xenoblade 3 tried this and failed.

Meanwhile the whole story part, I don't really care about it. It's Pikmin, the Story never was great.
But the clean house-post apocalypse argument has a flaw. Just because it is (probably post apocalyptic) does not mean the house can still be clean and well sorted. Who knows how much time has passed since humanity? A house doesn't turn into a jungle that quickly.
The whole post-apocalyptic theory is just a theory. Some people say that because of the geiger counter in Pikmin 1, but that geiger counter was not made by humans. It was part of the Dolpin, so most likely its from Hocotate origin and who knows how much radiation is dangerous for them. They are much smaller than humans, so probably a smaller dose is already dangerous, but radiation is normal, even in "our" reallife reality.
The two different dog species evolution is just an assumption. The universe is so great, why shouldn't it be possible to have two species evolution be very similiar on two different planets? Yes, it's unlikely, but you assume its impossible due to the low probability.
Oh, and I don't want to be rude, but I want to sincerly say "f** you" for randomly spoilering a plottwist of a Zelda game (an entirely different series!) that only came out 2 months ago. Hopefully you won't spoiler anyone else, because that's not nice.
This game is terrible. No proper difficult muti tasking puzzle gameplay. Just another garbage linear collecting game only like 2 and 3. The first Pikmin will always be the only proper game in the series.
