They HATE IT!
Erik Estrada likes Michael Pena as an actor, but did not like the inappropriate humor.

Larry is a BMX man. Two living legends these guys. They embody the Joy, Happiness and Greatness that was the 1970’s. People celebrated life a lot back then and there was a certain kind of clean freedom that no longer have in this revolting, self policing, perverted era of the 21st century
I didn't even see the CHiPs movie because I have too much respect for the show. The show was action, adventure, drama and comedy, something that was made for family. You have and always will root for Ponch and Jon. I mean, c'mon, I rather listen to Grossman's funny antics and checking out the beautiful Bonnie than watch that movie.

This movie was stupid nothing to do with the original and the spirit of CHiP's

I just saw the trailer and I thought it was bad.....I'm so glad they weren't impressed with it either....

Erik Estrada was also in celebrity attendance during the glitzy PREMIERE showing of this awful movie version and he definitely was not complaining about it at all even then.

Im so glad to hear this. I hated that make of the CHiPs name. It sucked.

Most likely they didn’t give him the full script just his dialogue and he probably found it funny but then when the movie came out he was very disappointed and he wanted to give a cameo for the fans that were watching it
True that…the cast & how they try to make it funny was obviously ridiculous. If they ever do another one they need better cast & make it an action/pay homage to the original by making it as close as possible.
They decided to make a family show into a raunchy comedy. The only REAL CHiPs movie was the 1999 reunion film as far as I was concerned. What is it with these reboots lately? They recently turned Fantasy Island into a Horror film!
The reunion film was really good and better than the last 2 or 3 seasons of the show
Didn't watch the movie. Hate they took a show I grew up watching and loving. And turned it into the crap too many movies think we want to see. We didn't want to see it changed. We had just wanted to see the characters we had grown up with and LOVED to be THOSE characters and morals. The trailer kept me away.
I agree. It was awful
Never saw the movie, but Erik's comments are what I assumed about it. Disregarded everything about the show and just went for raunchy comedy. Pena is great in anything, just a talented naturally funny guy. Dax seems to make these movies to showcase how cool and funny he is as a leading man and they just kind of fall flat. He's good in some roles, but he's not that guy. His wife Kristen Bell is WAY cooler and funnier so maybe it will rub off on him at some point, haha.
Chips shuld do a reboot have crossovers with ncis hawaii and SWAT 911 too
I mean, it makes sense since the people who made the movie hated CHIPs, its fans and everything else that happened before history started with the Internet. Also see: The Dukes of Hazzard movie.
The movie was so bad it was a complete waste of time I tried watching it and I can only watch for five minutes they never should have made the movie at all
