3:00 this is probably the best thing to point out, ESO handles just about everything as if it were a single player TES game. Use any weapon, any skill, go anywhere, do anything, any time you want. No matter which direction you run, you will always be improving and progressing something.

Man, it's so refreshing to hear a recent review from somebody completely new to the game. I've been playing this for years (left WoW at the start of BfA) and to be honest my main focus (pvp) has been getting stale for me, yet I always find something else to do. The amount of hours and gold I've put into housing is staggering. Housing is the true endgame of ESO with people spending big bucks to get all the new expensive houses and create absolutely insane things. I hope you delve a bit into this aspect of the game. ESO is the game I play whenever I'm not playing something like Elden Ring.

My only complaint about ESO is that there's no real auction house and that if you want to trade you gotta go through the greedy cabal of trading guilds that you either join them or you don't sell stuff but other than that ESO is fun.
played heavily from 2017-2020 and now getting back into it this year with a new class. it's wild how much content there is to do and almost all of it is good and fun. it's also the only way to experience most of the Elder Scrolls universe in our lifetime, because Bethesda will never get around to ES6
Long time eso player here. Already retired from the game due to the fact that the end game reward system has been directed towards new players.. So for endgame player the grind is just gone. You can get almost all the items as a noobie. Back in the day you had to try hard to get to the good stuff. There are perfected version of gear items which nowadays don't do any feelable difference. Don't get me wrong, I still do believe the combat is better than in any other mmo game. I just wish they would pay closer attention to the end game community which has been heavily neglected for a couple of years now.
I may return to streaming on here when I'm trying new MMOs I'm just not happy with the video quality when streaming. When I record offline there much less pixilation and it's 2k.
One of the things you touched on is the difference maker to me. The questing... WoW is a better games hands down, but ESO questing is so good I create new characters just to do it over again.
It is funny to me, yesterday I was watching another video about ESO and that person was basically trashing ESO and certainly not praising it. He did have some good things to say about ESO, but the overall flavor wasn't positive. Personally though, I lead a lot towards enjoying it as I have for several years now. :)
