Just ordered 3 rolls of 120 a few days ago, and I'm super excited. The texture and quality of the images is stunning. More in my wheel house of images that make me happy and feel something.
You're one of my favorite film channels, always quite interesting stuff. You deserve more views!
Thanks a lot Vladimir! glad you could find some interesting stuffs here ;)
I've been in Nicea a year ago and since then I'm in love with this city :)
Thx for the Video. Basically you can use one of the old GDR Triplex Tanks. They work the same.
Excellent ! I have to try this film....you could also press the film with a glass on the scanner, I used that technique to scan 110 film (not easy either....) cheers
Looking at your review that is the type of film I would use for portraits ONLY... You have beautiful images I know this can be done in other ways but each one of your images are shown to be unique.
Thanks a lot Anthony, yes it can give some interesting looking on portraits. I'll have to try again shooting with this film if I can in the future
Great video! Where can you buy the Washi loading reel?
Very cool! I've never heard of even this type of film before you mentioning it. Super unique look for when you want to shoot something really special.
yes definitely a very special type of film! I'll review more Washi films in the future but the other are more "traditional"
Really nice work. Thanks for making the video. Makes me want to try it in 4x5.
Do you need to leave the backing paper on?
Can I use hypo-clearing agent and/or photo flow also? Thanks for the video. Do you live on the Cote-d'azur?
Glad it helped Brendan. To be honest I'm not sure as the film base is different and won't attract dust as much as a plastic base. But to be sure, the best thing to do would be to ask your question on the official Facebook group facebook.com/groups/669834733047409/
Lomig, the founder often answer questions about his films there and has probably tried this already.
Merci
Oui il faut y aller doucement. J’ai cassé un film dans mon F2
Each film has it's own aesthetic. I particularly like the texture of the Washi films. Have you or any one else worked with other developers like Rodinal or even caffenol?
The S is very special in its kind. No never tried anything but I'd love to find a developer that can help retaining more highlight details
I wonder if it can be turned into positive... it would be awesome as 8x10 ;)
I guess you can coat an emulsion onto sheets of this Gambi paper and use it to print negatives. Indeed it would make awesome prints!
job for masochism...
