This is why I love your channel Molly, you're so genuine and honest and it makes your videos so easy to relate to. I'm in my fourth year at uni now but I remember my first year and still see it in the first years now there's this enormous pressure to make loads of friends, go out clubbing and drink every day during freshers week but you've got years to do all that stuff and the best memories always tend to be when you're sober just getting to know people at your own pace! Think it's important to prioritise mental health during first year and any year of uni, can be so overwhelming it's good to have people to open up to as they're probably feeling the same! xx

As someone who has watched your content for years, it’s hard to rewatch watch these videos knowing how you were feeling. It was clear you had doubts. Which is totally normal btw! Whether you do a one year course or three at uni, it can be incredibly overwhelming. I’ve just finished my art degree and I really struggled worse than ever in my third year of uni. My anxiety was so bad, I thought I was going mad. But like you say knowing you’ve finished it, got the qualification, made friends and moved onto the next thing shows more about your character. You should be so proud of yourself for finishing and passing! 💞 You never fail you either succeed or you learn. Hope you are having a great time in Greece Molly! Xx

I felt way less alone when I was able to watch yours and Eve’s vlogs as we all went to uni at the same time. I was unable to continue by November but it honestly rlly got me through the worst days and helped me wind down! It felt like a completely different chapter, I couldn’t ever look back! Was really interesting to see your reactions though!

Molly these videos were soo helpful for me at the time. I started my art foundation course at the same time you did and now I'm going into my final year at uni. I lived in halls for 1st and 2nd year but didn't enjoy it at all so moved home for my final year and feeling so much happier already. you being so open and honest in the vlogs seriously helped me get through it too! x
Also I still have so many clothes from years ago 😂 Just noticed recently that I still wear a hoodie I already had when I was 12 and I'm 22 now. Found it in the back of my closet after 5 years of not wearing it and there is nothing better than a comfy hoodie on cold days I can't be bothered anymore to look nice just want to be warm 😂
I remember watching these as a first year also desperately wanting to drop out. I waited for these videos and they were just what I needed at the time because everyone else at university and also on TH-cam seemed so happy. It was a rough one but I just graduated!!
I’m going into third year. It’s my last year. Looking back on first year, I remember having a horrible first two months of uni. I cried so much in my room in freshers because I felt so out of place and felt like I really didn’t fit in. I didn’t really gel with the people in my flat. (There were some toxic behaviours I witnessed which I didn’t like) But the thing is, eventually you find your people and what works for you. Sometimes Uni isn’t for everyone. I will say though that I’m glad I stuck it out, because I feel so settled now. I’m living in a house with people who I’ve met at societies. It seems that moving home for the first time is meant to be this emotional rollercoaster 😂 but honestly your old uni vlogs were relatable. It reminded me so much of first year. All in all, I love how refreshingly candid your videos are xx
I started watching you when you started your year in Leeds. It feels like it was ages ago and now I feel old. For the songs that make me think of a certain moment: Hollaback Girl, Single Ladies and Everybody are the ones that make me go all nostalgic because we did some dances for our last ever school day (Abistreich as we call it in Germany). It just makes me miss school.
So refreshing to watch, i moved to Liverpool uni in September 2019 and has such a horrible time, i ended up moving home and transferring to the uni in my city and i am so much happier. Just so nice to rewatch these videos (i did watch them when you were at uni too!) when you’re in a better place & i am too and knowing how much better we are as people now. Im so proud of you Molly, i know how hard it is. You look gorgeous in this video by the way! Love your hair straight ❤️

I feel like we’ve lived a parallel experience of LAU, (leeds college of art when i attended) I started the foundation course and felt everyone was ‘meant’ to be there expect me, i felt so isolated and like i stuck out like a sore thumb, i ended up leaving the course by christmas. I’m so sorry you felt this way too xx

I had almost the exact same experience at Glasgow school or art, dropped out in 2nd year. Didn’t feel like I was supposed to be there and family things and an all guys flat for halls. Took me so long to leave and now I’m in my last year on a course I was going to choose the first time round but didn’t 😅 Ended up moving in with my boyfriend during it all and now we have a house together, so wouldn’t have changed a thing. This reminded me so much of myself back then though! Nuts 🥜
I started Uni the same year you did I think and while my experience was very different to yours (eg where I live we don't live in halls but most people still live at home and drive to Uni every day which I think would've made your experience at least a little bit better) I think your vlogs would have really helped me. I found friends but I really thought of dropping out and especially the second half of first year was really not amazing and I've hardly ever felt that lonely in my life. I'm graduating soon but Uni is still a kinda lonely place even though I got some solid friendships now. I'm so scared of starting my Master's soon bc idk if it was the wrong decision. In the last couple of months I realised that I really dislike my degree but I don't really have an alternative so yeah I'll probably push through it and might watch your old uni vlogs as a source of motivation to stick with it :)
I’m the opposite lol, cried driving to work the other day cos they played Ed Sheeran Castle on the Hill on radio which makes me think of first year uni and I miss uni life so much😭😂
