The actress playing Mrs. Bennet gave a terrible performance. She was awful and seemed so fake. It seemed like actual acting. As in not giving a real performance. And she was so damn annoying that I couldn't get past the first episode. I stopped watching because of her.
@Aishani CHAUDHURI...There is no way she was faithful to the book when the acting didn't even seem real. It was so fake. It sounded like acting that a 9th grader taking theater class as an elective would do.
She is literally a legend. I aspire to be as extra as her. I’ve watched this a million times because I was casted as Mrs. Bennet just recently. This is my pure source of inspiration and it’s the only thing that keeps me thriving, especially when everyone is on my nerves.
I love the part @1 minute, where she says, "I have such tremblings and flutterings all over me!" I use that line with my husband, just for fun, and it cracks him up every time. :)
I love that line as well and this actress delivers so well that it has become the gold standard ... I have watched this series several times and this is the highlight of it🤣
Mr Wickham is taken a fancy of Mrs Bennet also? Elizabeth, Lydia and Mrs Bennet... a variation of the film "Teorema" by Pier Paolo Pasolini, maybe... 🤔
Mother one funny of all time greatest actor. Thank You. Why enjoy watch it over and over again. Still don’t understand why mother in hurry get there daughter marry. Never think of anything. Live day by day life style get back to normal life style again.
Lol, that's an easy formula to end up on the street. The whole point of the novel is that the Bennet estate is being entailed away because they have no sons. If she doesn't get her daughters married to men of at least decent means, then the whole family is destitute should Mr. Bennet die.
Rita Soares We men actually quite enjoy women like this. They make us feel more together than we usually really are because we naturally strive to be so.
@@matthew8153ah so you and other men like women like this cuz someone else’s inability to regulate their emotions makes you feel better about yourselves? Got it, noted.
Alison Steadman's hilarious portrayal of Mrs Bennett is nothing short of comic genius!
This is the best Mrs Bennet ever!

Your loss John Plunkett.

John Plunkett wow you really lost a great deal for me. You should try to watch it again imo
John Plunkett Allison Steadman is great in this role!
Allison Steadman nailed the role! She gave us the perfect Mrs Bennet
207 years later and this book is still on point about humans.
I'm guessing there's a Mrs Bennet in every family.....
It may be me, I have come to realize. Not the cool cucumber anymore...😉But my damn nerves.....
My mother's entire family side is a collection of Mrs. Bennets... I call it a "Jewish Matriarch."
yessssssss buttt sometimes they are likeable
Good God I sure hope not

Wonderful show , wonderful cast...BUT, Mrs. Bennet, this actress, STOLE THE SHOW!!!! I still think this is the best version of the story.😁😁😁👍🏻👍🏻

Like the title"...in all her glory" hahaha! xD
Ahhh yes... it's like listening to my own mother
"And though Mr Wickham's taken a fancy to you, I'm sure you've done nothing to deserve it!" Haha XD
Mr Wickham is taken a fancy of Mrs Bennet also? Elizabeth, Lydia and Mrs Bennet... a variation of the film "Teorema" by Pier Paolo Pasolini, maybe... 🤔
I can totally imagine Scarlett O'Hara being like this 24/7 after getting old.
I think Scarlett would've slapped her right there.
An iconic performance
thank you so much for putting this together my dad leaves the room EVERY TIME SHE TALKS WHEN WE REWATCH I NEEDED THIS TO TORTURE HIM
😂
She is the ONLY Mrs. Bennet in my book. And what a great one she is.
Reminds me of my grandma. Every family reunion turns into a comedy skit 🙈😅

I’m playing her in my schools production.
I clearly got the best role

Just watched Alison Steadman in virtuoso and I thought - I've seen her somewhere. Of course - Mrs Bennet. The definitive Mrs Bennet.
I just got cast as Mrs Bennet in my theatre company's play, keeeeeeeen

she has the same energy as Pam Shipman lmao
Hilarious!! Love her!!
Someone give Mrs. Bennett a Xanax.
A definite ancestor to Beverly from Abigail's Party.
and pam gavins mum
And to think this woman was pregnant and in labour 5 times!!!!!! Mr.Bennet is a saint!!!! Lol
I like to imagine that when having children all her silliness would disappear and she'd become very brave and calm

I take it you’ve never met an actual strong woman in your life.
she was extra, but she was right to worry because her husband didn't budget enough dowries for their daughters to marry well.
My oldest friends mom is Mrs. Bennet.
I assume they're right. The Bennet daughters will follow the example of their mother. Besides, the apple will fall under the apple tree.
The 1995 Mrs. Bennet is honestly the best Mrs. Bennet because she's the most annoying.
And this wonderful actress is also Vera....sorry I just found this out!
Amazing!
Hill! Hill! Where is Hill? 🤣
Daniel Guimarães
Damn it Bobby just get in the truck.
