Shrimp rules are simple. If you order shrimp and it's a stand alone dish, leaving the tail on is acceptable. Once you get into salads and fried rice, peel the damn shrimp. It's crazy how many places don't do this
“When he’s paid for his groceries, and he’s still bagging his stuff up and collecting….” Everything should be in bags before you hit “payment options” on the kiosk. The kiosk will not allow you to scan the next item until you’ve place the item you just scanned in the bagging section (there are some exceptions for heavy sh*t like a pack of bottled waters). So this guy scans the item, places the item in the bagging area without putting it in a bag, pays for his stuff, then picks up every item for a second time to put it in bags? Sorry Bud, everything should be in bags before you swipe your card or insert cash. If you’re bagging after you paid, you obviously don’t care about other people’s time. Only once have I aggressively started scanning and that was because the dude ahead of me was intentionally taking his time. If it’s crowded, I will hover by the person who just finished checking out.. If you just stand at the front of the line waiting until the person has everything loaded in their cart, someone else will dart around you and take the open kiosk. I position myself to where I’m not rushing the person, but if anyone tries to cut me, I can block their path. I pay with cash on occasion and when I get my change, i move off to the side so the next person can start checking out before putting the cash neatly in my wallet. I don’t stand there holding up the line to organize the denominations, portrait facing out, hair facing up then move out of the way. Once you reach 75-80 years of age or you’re disabled, you can hold up the line as long as you’d like and I won’t get mad.
The fuckin self-checkout, god damn it!! Like look guy, you THINK I want to be scanning my own shit like I work here!?!? Let me scan my shit so we can all get out of here Sheryl!!! Wait a god damn minute!! Personally, I think we should get an employee discount for working the register like we're on the payroll, but that's just me 🤷
I like Paul Virzi, I watch his comedy, but man, I fast forward through every one of his intros on this and Anything Better. I know it's just me, but his change in voice is like potty training a puppy, "just put it outside".
