I saw there is only Nepal subtitles for this video, so I selected it fully aware that I probably wouldn't understand anything.
I was surprised to learn that Nepali is amazingly similar to written English 🤔😉

She mentioned that Finnish and Swedish are the official languages of Finland. There however is also the more practical side, which is that there are areas where Swedish is the local primary language or a much used language. Western Finland, where Vaasa also is located, has more Swedish speakers. Some other areas have also Swedish speakers and Scandinavians visiting Finland often assume everyone also to speak Swedish in Finland.
There is one autonomous provence, Åland, which has Swedish as the only official language. Then in the north there is the municipality of Ivalo, which has 4 official languages. Swedish isn't one of them. They have 3 Same languages and Finnish.
I think you mean 3 Sami language. Sami is really minority language in Finland. I think that around 10 000 speak it. Also Swedish language is only 5% of people speak really like native language. Goverment force to study also Swedish, but rarely people can really speak it. You really would need it in Swedish speakers areas. Vaasa is bilingual a city and I guess you would need to learn two new language there. 😊

Many people work in organizations witch are not just local but also part of or collaborate with others in other Nordic countries.
People who can speak Skandinaviska do have an advantage in their career. Using English is of course an option, but it doesn't give the same benefits as being able to understand and communicate with your customers, partners, colleagues in other Nordic countries.
There is an special advantage in understanding Nordic people and cultures being able to understand their own languages.
Swedish is useful common base to enable communication with others and not only in some parts or social groups in Finland.

In Finland the Government, which usually means the Government of the Country, or the council of the state, doesn't force legislation.
Three are legal authorities handling education and obeying national legislation.
It is the Parliament of Finland, which has the legislative powers as given by the Finnish constitution.
The national parliament, Eduskunta,could change the constitution and legislation base on it. The government of the state doesn't have such power.
@@just42tube I pretty much agree with you about the Swedish language, that it is an advantage to know it well. I meant that many people study Swedish, but cannot communicate in it. It is a compulsory subject in schools. Certainly in Swedish-speaking areas and in companies where Swedish is needed. However, it has very little use in Inner Finland.

I think that you can try apply to vocational school, Riveria in Joensuu. You will start your studies in English and after the intensive Finnish language courses, the study changes to the Finnish language. You also graduate in Finnish, after which it is possible to apply to study at a university of applied sciences or university in Finnish. Studies in Finnish and Swedish are free in Finland for everyone, unlike in English you have to pay.

Hi, why would you want to change the program here? Why don't you apply for what you want or like to study in the first place? Your fees won't be refunded if you change you degree before you graduate.

Hello didi, I am a nursing graduate from India. Recently I contacted a company which is tied up with Finland's company, which is willing to take us to Finland but as per them we can initially only work as a nursing assistant. They told us, after 2 years we can apply for practical nurses or registered nurses. So I don't know what to do, any suggestions from your side ? Also when we apply for RN do we have to study again for 3-4 years ?

Hi! Thank you very much for your reply. I have further concerns that I would appreciate you help me with. One of the certificates of the international English tests is Duolingo. Registering for the test, I saw different categories to select from, but I don't know which one actually matches Vamia's vocational studies. The different categories are: Undergraduate University admissions, Graduate admissions (ex.: MBA, PhD), Middle or high school admissions, Applying for a job or promotion and none of the above.
