@@fomofx Also known as lighter fluid, like you'd fill a Zippo lighter with. Any adhesive remover should be safe, but read the label and see if it's reactive to to or warns against certain finishes.
Have you experimented with any other attachment methods? I’m thinking I’d want to “audition” it on several guitars before deciding which one to mount it to longer term, so an option that may not be as solid but easier to cleanup would be nice.
Hi Robert, there's a temporary mounting method explained in the DEEP DIVE - WHAMMY POSITION video at 0:54. It's not good for more than some trials, but it gives the opportunity to experiment!
Hi Herve, we tried velcro in the very early days of development. Unfortunately the whammy ends up 'rocking' too much because of the compliance in the velcro hooks & loops. We abandoned that idea and started hunting for a safe adhesive solution. This took a while (many adhesives are acrylic based and they will eventually 'weld' to the surface of many guitar finishes). The solution was a rubber-based adhesive which is perfectly safe.
To put it on a better guitar to make it betterer, or put it on a mediocre guitar to make it better. Also to move it from behind the bridge to some place freaky so the lookie-loos do the RCA mascot thing.

Naphtha is simply lighter fluid, I use it all the time on my guitars poly or lacquer.
Can you please tell me the removal solvent you are using. I could not understand you from the video when I was trying to look it up.
