We are now heading into April and with the clocks "Springing Forward" on Sunday to herald British Summer Time, I remind you that summertime may be here but we still have at least a month of wintry weather and possibly damaging frosts.
The first of a few videos sowing seeds I sow some veg, then some herbs and after that a really stupid trial that works for me maybe one or two years in five.

Great video steve...my tomatoes are finally coming up in the windowsill...😀😀😀...along with aubergine peppers chillis lettuce...need to sow spring onions..fenugreek corriander.. peas and beans tomorrow...make the most of this mini heatwave coming our way.. 👍..20 c on Tuesday 😳😳😳🌞🌞🌞

I gave 400 strawberry plants away Friday. 150 today. Also give lots of seedlings away. As you say, it's no issue if growing anyway. Plus it's the part lots can't get right.
One month later (April 29th) and it’s still frosty! 🥶

Hi Steve I use a builders trowel to make the furrows for the seeds they are really handy I have all sizes at hand and use them for everything don’t use my garden trowels and forks now. Got them cheap from car boot. They are very versatile x

Hey Steve, I’m doing well with my sowing so far all is looking good, did my first lot of spring onions and marigold 2 days ago. All my first lot of brassicas are up looking good also my lettuce, I’ve also potted on all my onions. I’ve potted on my pepper and chilli plants, they are in my back bedroom on windowsill looking really good. I’m waiting a little bit longer to start my tomatoes, aubergines and cucumbers as it’s still a bit to cold here in West Midlands it’s all so existing 🤩. Great video. Thank you 😊.

Happened to me last year , I had lots of lettuce but ran out of beetroots... so this year , I am following Charles Dowding ... who has a video on successional sowing so you don’t run out . Don’t sow as much of course ! We’ll see .
With so much going on in the garden, it is very easy to lose where you are upto...Steve...😃

Just started a tray off of lettuce 👍 cobra climbing beans one of my favourite to grow although got to get hubby to build better frame this year wigwams no good too much weight lol 😆 look forward to next video take care stay safe

Funny old year for me Steve, as I said earlier, struggling with both Aubergines and the White Lisbon spring onion, where in the past had no problems with the spring onions, even bought fresh ones only the other day, trying red spring onions too, they seem to be doing fine..
I have tried red spring onions once I think, they where a winter variety that failed for me...Steve...😃

Hi Just found your channel. Where are you in London? I’m in SE and I’m frozen!! Brought a greenhouse last year and the storm ripped it to pieces. So I only have a frame. I’m a gardener who chucks everything in the soul and hopes for the best. I will learn one day lol I will try to follow along with you I my small garden

I haven't even started sowing anything.....like you say next week or so temperatures dropping down to 1 or 2 degrees! I don't have a greenhouse or anything like that, so no point, although watching the likes of you and Tony it is getting annoying as I really want to, especially as I can see my chives outside are going mad! lol I might go and plant something to stop that itch!

Hi Steve, I think you're plant label got mixed up, when you are sowing the beans I can see you put the label on the left side is cobra , then blauhilde at the right.. I can see the difference between the seeds when you put in.... Then when you showed the packet at the end it's blauhilde but the label is cobra... Cheers!...👍

Hi Steve what kind of lights are you using in you greenhouse and what about heat ?
Do you use fabric grow pots? I am hearing they are meant to be better for tomato plants and such since they stop the roots from going round?
I'm afraid I have never tried those as yet, if you try them then please let us know how you get on with them...Steve...😃

Hi Ann, I have used Evergreen multi purpose for the last couple of years, good texture, sieves quite easily and holds onto moisture well. However, this years batch is not as good as last years, but still good...Steve...😃
