She can certainly take some punishment, yes she's proved herself time after time over the years. I was on the old Ben on of the notorious September 1973 crossings, a seven hour nightmare. Thankfully she made it to the Pier Head, with only a few needing hospital treatment. Never underestimate the power of the Irish Sea!
Interesting to see just how much she settles down 4-5 minutes out. Is that normal, ie does it always look worse from the shore or can it really be a Big Dipper the whole way across? (Land lubber here who is a fair weather traveller - but wondering if I need to be or just get in with it!!)
I was on the Ben last night and she handled the rough seas very well. Always found her to be excellent in poor weather conditions. Great video.

The Pigster she can’t deploy her stabilisers till she’s turned off the breakwater, plus they don’t work until she’s making some headway 👍🇮🇲
