The sound is pretty good. I tested the bike yesterday but it didn’t sound near like in this video. Do you have the standard pipe? I imagine it’s too soon to mess around with it, but by the way it sounds here, maybe you’ve captured the sound with a microphone very near to the exhaust? Thanks it was a beautiful ride!
Awesome downshifts mate! this is the best R1300 gs sound on TH-cam yet! Did you remove the muffler or what lol, I know it’s stock but it sounds beautiful!
Upside for me was the smoothness steering into tight corners, beat my 1250 gs hands down. What I didn't like was 1. The price , especially of the Trophy version I was testing 2. The idling sound of the gearbox which obviously had a timing issue or firmware issue that BMW have already recalled a few models 3. The stupid heated grips makes no sense at all, try and find those when you are trying to concentrate on the road 4. The fact that what was considered standard on previ9us models are now paid extras like the center stand, the media cradle is still the old one, you would think paying 28k for the 1300 gsj model it would be included. 5. The way too expensive LED light, in a nutshell definitely not worth the 27k price tag and god knows what the GSA version will cost next year.
@@datdanguyLook like Hawaii to me. 😅 Lovely exhaust sound, but dayum that’s a noisy motor. At speed the exhaust covers it up, but trundling around it sounds like a cement truck. All the 1300 vids I’ve watched are the same. My next bike, though. A real stunner.

Thanks! Felt the same as the 1250. A bit too clunky from 1st to 2nd and 3rd for my liking, otherwise it’s pretty good!

Why is the dashboard blinking already at 5.000 rpm - is that standard during running in the engine?
This is probably because the engine is still running in or the rev limiter is set.
Rev limiter warning light was set pretty low by the factory or the dealer. It’s adjustable!
So what do you think of the new bike?
It's an improvement over the 1250, that's for sure! Feels a lot quicker and more agile. More comfortable even.
