I agree. That's why they should keep getting the horse and more importantly, they deserve to lose even more players. I know the deck is still pretty much playable, i have used it in MD in this state since they started messing it up there but still. They did the stupid thing.
As a branded player, I would much rather have 1 branded fusion than no sanctifire, take sanctifire away and the deck loses the coolest boss monster it has

@@FedeGeko34, I'd understand that if Branded fusion to 1 didn't make the deck say more unplayable. In other words, if it lacked representation now, it will lack it even more in the future, so why would anyone bother to get a card for it?
Guys. Branded Fusion to 1 didn't kill the deck. Even if it stops seeing play competitively doesnt mean you have to stop playing it. Decks are only killed once the community decides to stop playing them. Stick with Branded. Who cares if it's a little less consistent if you're playing the deck you love? Just look at Blue-Eyes players!

I remember they had a fusion festival event for master duel and they banned branded fusion. I decided to spitefully still play branded at 60 cards and it surprisingly wasn't as bricky as i thought it would be.
This makes me want to try some of that in the tcg

Brafu to 1 is much pain , waited so long , that everything in the Branded Deck has become a Reprint , and now i not have the chance to play the Branded Engine on Full power . . . i don´t understand what konami is smoking , Brafu never was a problem . . . only Sanctefir + Pupped and co. . .
i´m sad about that . . . but so i will not buy the Cards i miss for this Deck , because it loses for me to much . . . my fun goes down this way . . .
it was hard to compete before the bannlist , tested a lot online , and Brafu so often save games, when you hard draw it . . .
I think in 40 there is no need for S poly, with Mulcharmy, droplet and dark ruler going 2nd that should be good enough, and thrust to search another dark ruler, S poly goes neg and has a mid impact
Also 2 aluber still doesnt sit right with me but I understand in a flat 40 list without allure

This kind of reminds me of when people were cutting the deck down to fit the adventure package for all those who played back when both were at the top of the food chain
branded fusion to 1 actually did nothing. it was never the only play in your hand and only made you play through more handtraps. i believe the optimal list would be just doing the same thing we were doing before, no need to get more consistency, it was never an issue and it isnt an issue now
id say running 3 saronnir and maybe 1 maganmhut with 3 high spirits is enough to get your plays going even through an ash on brafu
Master duel and tcg are different but Konami definitely uses master duel to test things out. Branded fusion went to one in master duel and the players adapted and made the deck viable without having to rely on just branded fusion. Having branded fusion at 3 in tcg spoiled yall but made you super reliant on the card which is sad. If my branded fusion gets ashed no big deal because I can do 20 other things to make plays. If a tcg player branded fusion gets ashed you pass your turn because your entire deck is built around it

It's fine. It's fine...... But it really isn't! I get you. No actual heavy contestant against FiendSnake, and with Apo gone, no actual rogue answer for FiendSnake either. Next YCS we are seeing 27-29 FiendSnake in the top cut, 1 FiendYubel (I doubt the second) and the rest will be Tenpai. Viewership is going on a whole new low. I hope I am wrong. But I rarely am...

I've always felt around 45 cards is the sweet spot for this deck. Even with 1 BF, I've played that to master rank on Master duel for a while now. Reality is you only need this card to resolve once usually to win

Branded can't afford 1 for 1 cards anymore. we need to be playing 3 book of eclipse 2 crossout and lava golem in the main and 3 droll 3 niburu plus 3 shifter in the side maybe 2 evenly with more back row removal like lightning storm and cosmic those would also be in the side deck.Branded may be better going second this format giving more of a chance on the 6th draw being BF. 45-50 card Branded deck with board breakers + shifter would destroy most decks
With Branded Fusion limited to 1, do you think the classic Triple Tactics Thrust - Fusion Duplication recover from Ash tech is still viable? Because neither Tragedy nor Retribution can bring your only Branded Fusion back if it's banished. You would need Kitt for this.

I’m sure it matters over the course of a long event but in a vacuum, and in the cases of playing over 50+ cards in a list this doesn’t change a whole lot as in those bigger list things like high spirits and more Cartesias buff the consistency and you weren’t always hard opening Brafu but more often a combination of cards to get there and to set up plays while eating handtraps. Idk i don’t think it’s all that bad
As a MD duelist ive always played branded this way because fusion has been at 1 lol. Opening is at one also and gimmick puppet is banned as well 😅 I still lock with Vice Requiem tho. I splash a small Yubel engine into it just to have a backup plan
Same bro. I lock with Kristya, tho. The versatility of being able to mill it with BraFu if you already have Lubellion in grave is amazing, actually.

I have been testing with BIW and BIHS. I am still playing a 50 card list with the Frightfur package and 3 Shrouded. We STILL have over 9 ways to get to a fusion spell or effect. It is NOT the end of the world.
What it boils down to is yall being fucking lames and puppetlocking opponents. Sanctifier, if used properly, is SUPPOSED to bring back Albaz to fuse away key components on your opponents turn. I have, will ALWAYS say that puppetlocking your opponent is a degenerate style of play and as long as youre playing lame, dont cry about BF going to 1.
Dont want to hear the tears or complaints. Branded was supposed to be a mid range control style deck. Yall made Sanctifier a villain when it was actually the players fault to begin with. The way i look at it, you deserve to be Spooky dogwood for time if you puppetlock.

Been playing 1 branded fusion on master duel for a long time and its not really a problem, consistency is worse but makes for mote creative combos
with grass now legal we can summon 3x Masquerede with only one grass if you mil all 3 tearlaments and 3 despias
I hope that Branded becomes Very powerful it does feel that Branded Really got hit in the gut by Konami with that Nerf to Branded Fusion. Cant wait to test this deck and Hopefully It will Playbwell i will try to tune into your syreqms too becauee I really REALLY want to play Branded and become veru good at this deck beaide my Utopia Builds.

The amount of times this has happened to me:
“Albion shrouded effect, dump one from deck, place this in deck, draw one”

The deck now hard loses to Droll easier, hard loses to Imeprm and Veiler easier, and without the fear of hard opening Branded Fusion as often, Ash on something like High Spirits is now super devastating. The deck will be lucky to even be rogue after this. Konami just wanted people off the deck instead of hitting Sanctifire. What a vile move. Branded got hit harder than Snake-Eyes, Yubel, and Tenpai. Screw them for that. The deck wasn't running rampant. They only did this to force us to buy new cardboard instead. Not me. Branded was the most fun I had playing the game in literal years. I don't like any of the new junk they are releasing and feel so jilted after this uncalled for hit that I have no interest in playing at all, anyway. Time to just move on. Barely play due to work anyway these days.

The deck still functions the same as before outside of the fact that you are less likely to hard open branded fusion.
You still search it with aluber, foolish it with shrouded to add of retribution or you can also add it from deck or banish with kitt.
The only thing that this really affects it the splashability of the engine in stuff like chimera for example.
Since its early in the new format there arent many videos out but for example Paks already won locals with only 1 fusion.
@@DerMotze I think you fail to understand that the fact you are not hard opening it as frequently means you are going to get throttled way more by basic hand traps. You use Shrouded, you now lose to Droll because you are not hard opening Fusion. High Spirits getting Ashed (they no longer have to hold for the possible hard opened Fusion) can be back breaking now. Have too many normal summons and less chance to hard open Fusion? You now lose to Imperm. If you think the deck is exactly the same just because there are still ways to cheat out getting Branded Fusion, you are wrong. Consistency is crushed big time. The deck could barely hold it together as a Tier 2 strategy with full power and you think losing two of its most important card won't make that harder? You are just wrong.
Also, locals isn't a long 11 round event.

Just from the way you are talking here I can tell that you feel that the deck is as weak as I do now. This hit was uncalled for. Konami just wanted to kick Branded out of the format entirely instead of just ending Puppet. They want people to buy new overpriced cardboard instead. I am done with that game.
It's definitely a purposeful kick in the teeth cause the deck has been super viable outside of Tearlament format. 2 years of a deck being around and no real hits meant it would effectively always stick around so I think it was a way from Konami's to get Branded players to move on and BUY something new.
i mean, they let you cook for 3 years, we can't complain about an insignificant consistency hit. it doesn't matter

I think you are being way too negative, we still have gimmick, we have grass and 60 card board breaker decks AND we are getting azamina. Just wait a little bit and you'll see branded is actually BETTER in this format

master duel player and they limited branded opening to 1 a while ago Make a master duel deck profile! Tough when GP nightmare is now forbidden and obv Branded fusion is limited to 1. They're making it much harder to beat Yubel with these restrictions.
They didnt make the deck weaker, just harder to play - still kinda ridiculous.

Bro, I was new to the game a few months in and chose branded. Just started really KNOWING the deck and it gets hit to basically unplayable because I play all big try hard snake eye, d barrier labs, and yubel feindsmith. Its a shame. Feels like i just wasted all my time. 😢
Feels like Branded is not gonna be as strong as it was before, I HATE to say this but I think it’s time to pick up a new deck or just leave yugioh for good. Pokémon been fun, no interruptions

I personally don't think the hit is relevant, the deck's ceiling is just as high, it's still extremely consistent, and it breaks boards like no other.

Is there a more budget version without thrust that could be good?
I swap the Thrusts to Talents since I play budget. Pot of Prosperity is at 1 if you want to throw it in but I would only banish 3 instead of 6.
The typical budget build for Branded is the Frightfur Engine:
Edge Imp Chain x3
Frightfur Patchwork x2 or 3
Polymerization x2
You can also add Allure of Darkness if you want to have more plays but I would consider adjusting the Despia/Dark ratio too.

Why are so many people against the 2 aluber now especially if you run more than 1 opening it seems perfectly justified.
With our recent cripple i think hes the best normal summon (always has been), also i love to use oppening for quem for shenenigans during our turn (the cartesia reborn combo etc..)
