Even though you didn't care for this foundation (I haven't heard of anyone who did!) you always find a way to make your look pretty freaking beautiful. Great job!! I know what you mean about Sephora, I don't want anything, I don't need anything but, by damn, when I get there I can always fill up a bag with things that are 'so pretty'..... They know us so well. Happy Leap Day to you!!
I'm sure no one noticed anything bad about the foundation because of your eye look, GORGEOUS!! And I can't wait to see the looks you do with the Love palette!! Yes on a GRWM using the Blendiful . . . really though, I love your GRWMs, don't really care about the Blendiful! LOL Have a wonderful weekend Shelly!
Hi Shelly! I love the Blendiful! Glad you like it. I got the Natasha Denona Love Cheek palette. I was hesitant about it because I thought it would be too much for my very mature skin. It is Bea-uti-ful! I'm so glad I took a chance. I also got the Blush and Glow in Darya for half price on the Sephora site. Equally beautiful. That one is a 6 pan palette, same concept. Have a nice weekend! ❤
I've got the ND Bloom palette and love it! I would've gotten the Love version but it seems not much different than my Bloom palette, so I resisted. I love the Bloom palette especially on no-foundation days!
Hello Shelly! so I am excited to share a truly life changing technique! Many foundations are too matte for me as I have dry skin, and I have been setting to the side, a lot of foundations I wished I could use. So what I have been doing is dotting the foundation around my face, then spraying my face with any hydrating spray then bouncing it out. HOLY WOW WOW WOW it works like magic and I am now able to get a lot of use out of all the foundations I have not been able to use in the past. so happy!
I have dry skin, too, and it's the same shade as yours. Plus I'm in my 50s so your reviews are perfect for me! I'm so sad this didn't work out, but I trust your reviews implicitly. Thanks so much for all the effort you put in! :) xo
Foundation just did not work, but those eyes are really pretty! Last time I went to Sephora I said I would never go back and I haven't !!!!!!! As an older woman I feel they discriminate .....I was the only one in there and they did not even speak to me... I was going to restock some Drunk Elephant products... I just left..Maybe they need a crash course in customer service!
Linda Johnson I thought i was the only one that felt that way about Sephora. At 57 they avoid me. I have been there I can't tell you how many time to try and get match for foundation. Waste of time. I know why go back. LOL I am hopeful. I complained to Sephora. No response. Have a great weekend.
I really do not understand the Sephora age-ism because hellooooooooo we're far more likely to have expendable cash than the 20-something audience they're catering to.
Thank you for highlighting the Undone Unfoundation earlier this week. I am on day three of using it and it's the perfect light coverage foundation I feel like I've been searching for. Absolutely worth breaking my no-buy for.
Since the shade I got is too light for me, I've been mixing it with everything that's too dark for me (the new Estee Lauder, the new L'Oreal, etc) and it's just gorgeous every which way! I'm definitely going to grab a couple more Undone shades.
Thanks for the review, Shelley. Even though this one wasn’t a winner, your reviews are always informative and entertaining. Your eye look is lovely today💖💖
I always make sure my makeup looks good when I go into Sephora. There are a ton of them here in NYC and I'll only go those that have nice sales associates, thankfully the one near my office is great
I don’t know if you take suggestions from viewers but something I think you would do amazing with is a “save my stash” type of series. You have such a thorough spreadsheet of foundations and could easily see what made a foundation fail for you. We all have bad foundations sitting around and I hate throwing out things and wasting them. If you combine a too matte one with too dewy or super long wear with short wear time...could you save it? Might be fun to do a group of attempts?
Dang it Shelly! I was avoiding the Amreezy palette like the plague. But here you come looking all gorgeous and stuff! Oooh...you temptress! 😜 I understand what you mean by the judgment in beauty stores. Thanks for taking one for the team with this foundation. 👍🏽
@@goow Oh I hear ya! Me too. Honestly, if it's still available during the spring v.i.b sale, I'll probably get it. But if it's sold out, it wasn't meant to be.
I really love the Amrezy palette also. I still love the Jackie Aina one as well. I purchased the Jaclyn Hill 2 palette when it launched too and I actually really like it. I'm going to be 40 in a few months but honestly, the older I get, the more into color I am lol. I wear all black clothes though, so my makeup is the only place I put color on myself 😄
That's my favorite aesthetic these days - black clothing and colorful makeup! I would wear black more but it's SO hard to look presentable when it shows every single bit of cat hair on me 😂
Shelly Shelly Shelly.... Shelly! 💜Shelly 🥰... 💃🏻 That song money money money... sorry I have an ear worm. Heard the song and it’s seeded. 😯sproutin’ roots... hahaha.
I was waiting to hear your thoughts on this foundation. I tried it a few weeks ago and didn't like anything about it. Like you, mine bunched up all over my face almost immediately and was very difficult to blend. It left a lot of texture on my skin that looked like scales but felt gummy when I touched it. When I applied powder to try to even out the texture or blur, it went cakey everywhere. Yuck! I ended up returning it for a refund. Very disappointing since I like Milani. I completely agree with your assessment that it doesn't work on mature skin. On the upside, I found a liquid/gel blush that I am in love with! It's the new Maybelline Cheek Heat in the shade 15-Nude Burn. Awful name but such a pretty pinky/nude color. It goes on sheer but is totally buildable. I use the elf small stipple brush to apply it and I love how natural it looks. :-) I also agree with you about Sephora vs Ulta's customer service. Much prefer Ulta, in fact I was there earlier today and picked up a new bh Cosmetics palette, Smitten in Switzerland. Soooo pretty!!
I'm so relieved you showed us what you bought. I was starting to feel anxious as the video was winding down, fearing that we would never know 😂 What did you think of the newest ND cheek palette? I still haven't been into a Sephora to swatch it. I'm trying to be good, seeing as I already own all three of Natasha's blush palettes, but oh my goodness it just looks so beautiful 😩
I haven't bought the new ND cheek palette only because it swatched pretty similar to the Bloom one that I already have. I'm trying to restrain myself this year and not just automatically buy ALL THE THINGS. And so far, that's my only successful non-purchase lol. Everything else I have tried not to buy, I bought. 😂
I tried this a few months ago and had to promptly return ( thank goodness for ulta return policy). I made my skin look like it was falling off my face, and my skin wasn’t even that dry at the time.
I almost bought this but I’m glad that I waited! I’m really curious about the new RMS foundation and Ilia skin tint (dropper). I was at Sephora and the texture of the Ilia seemed really nice :) You may want to check out the new Make Up For Ever reboot foundation as it is lovely on dry skin...if you can find your shade as they didn’t carry all of the shades over from their other lines. Finally, the ND palette is my favorite and I’d love to hear what you think of the balm (formula and shade) because the reviews have been so mixed!!
OMG. I hate going to Sephora. I think I'm judged due to my age. The salespeople are just rude. I asked to get foundation matched, and the girl gave me a color that made me look as white as a ghost. I was with Rachel, and she got so mad, that she pulled me out of the chair, and said "We're leaving!" If I want something from Sephora, it's online ordering only. On the other hand, I love Ulta. The salespeople are as nice as can be, and extremely knowledgeable. As for the foundation, I saw it at CVS. They had a tester, and I found it to be drying on the back of my hand. Sorry it didn't work for you, but the rest of your makeup looks phenomenal!! Have a great weekend❣❤
Ulta employees are a lot nicer AND the store’s lighting is so much better for judging the correct foundation color. The only thing I go to a Sephora store for is free samples.
They’re always real rude until you checkout, and see you’re Rouge with 5k+ points sitting in your acct. I’ve never had a good experience in a store EVER. I shop online, and anytime I’ve had to call customer support, they’re fantastic. I don’t even go in the stores anymore. They’re just flat out rude. Ulta is fantastic though. I’ve always had a good experience both in store, and online.
Ditto on the Sephora attitude. I do think it's an age thing with me too. I haven't set foot in one of their stores in years. There are rude people everywhere, I don't need to pay top dollar for it! Lol!
Psst....I used to use the No7 Line Correcting Serum, went through 3 of them and loved it. However, then I found The Ordinary’s Matrixyl 10% + HA serum. It’s basically 1/4 the price of the No7, double the amount of product and the same exact active ingredient as the No7. I’m now on my second bottle of The Ordinary and I can say I find it to be just as good as the No7, if not better.
Yes, please do one with the Blendiful. I bought it and would love to know your tips and ticks. I have very dry skin and I am a bit worried that this will take away some of the hydration. Since it can be used to touch up and remove shiny ness. Does this mean that it will be more drying/matte in general?? I’m not sure 🤔
I think the fact that it can remove oil/shine is more just the texture of it being helpful for that, rather than anything in the Blendiful itself that is causing mattifying. It doesn't have any topical ingredients in it or anything like that.
I’ve eard a lot more negative reviews on this foundation than I have positive ones. I’ll be passing on this one. I’ve had the same problem with Sephora but it’s only at one location so I’ve only been going to the other store. Both are an hour away so I don’t make it there that often but the one I go to has a girl that works there that is awesome. I look forward to seeing each time I do go.
Shelly, that foundation was underwhelming! Your eyes, however, Wowsers! That is a terrific look on you! I just cashed in my Sephora rouge points ( I've been hoarding my points and I do have 2 20 year old daughters). I got this cool Tshirt, tote, foot cream, and a $200 gift card from Tamara Mellon. I drool over her shoes, but they are very expensive. I agree over all about Ulta, but today I am team Sephora! :-)
I always hit Rouge so I don't dislike them all that much 😂Every year I swear I'm not going to try for Rouge and every year it doesn't matter and I hit it anyway!
Omg so yes. I just had an idea. When you read the foundation claims, you should put your voice into the movie announcer voice 😂😂😂 there’s a filter for everything, there’s gotta be one for that!
I know that this is a old video… I actually just found this foundation at Marshall’s for 399. Of course they don’t have all of the shades but they had one that I thought looked promising. I’m wondering if you would have your actual shade if it would get better coverage because I noticed when I wear foundations that are too light they don’t cover like I would think they would
The coverage would probably be better in a better shade match, though I probably wouldn't be able to get past the drying factor or the settling into lines/pores. I have so many foundations that are more hydrating and behave better that I'd still probably pass on this one (well, maybe not at 3.99!)
This time Sephora was very friendly! They moved to a bigger location and it was my first time going to the new place. Maybe that made them happier! :-D Love the picture!!!
Our Ulta has an extremely judgmental, sassy, rude, James Charles fan. He will literally make you cry. My husband, who’s super easygoing and precious, snapped back at him and we left. 😳 Milani foundations have never worked for me, so I assumed this one would be a pass. I’ve got the new Wet and Wild Dewy to try (from Walmart- they have the most fabulous return policy!). Still haven’t found anything to unseat my beloved Missha Perfect Cover. ☺️ Edit- you said pissed. I ❤️ it. 😂
LOL that's about as close to on-screen cursing as I'll get 😂 wow if I had someone like that at my Ulta I'd probably put my war paint on and get all sass a frass right back at them. OK I'm way too chicken to do that. But I'd imagine myself doing it.
If a company is trying to market to me, they should absolutely NOT suggest their makeup will make me look like what I looked like when I just woke up. Just sayin. Better suggestion: You’ll look like Wayne Goss did your makeup. THAT will work!
hi, shelly! so many promises, undelivered. i wish it had worked better with all the shade ranges and all. sigh. at least you got some great things at sephora! have a wonderful weekend and enjoy yourself! ~k btw - do you think the pump problem was a portent?
I had to laugh because Taylor Wynn had the same problem with the pump in her video, and I don't think she ever got hers working! I had 2 bottles so on the second one, it was almost like I had to press super hard to break some sort of stuck point at the very bottom of the "press" if that makes sense. Then it worked fine.
OMG! I thought it was just ME that felt judged every time I USED to go to Sephora! A bunch of snobs from the "helpers" there - at least from what I've experienced and even from the black young ladies, as well. (I'm black, by the way!) So sad because due to feeling "less than" they will no longer get my money! I'd rather go to Ulta or order from Amazon anyway! OOOFAAA! A "D+" - well, I'll keep my money, thank you very much! So glad you bought your Natasha Denona palette! I mean, how can you walk out of Sephora without buying anything anyway, right?! LOL - Enjoy!
These days I pretty much only buy at Sephora what I can't buy elsewhere... and some brands have been making the jump to Ulta so there's not much left that I need at Sephora anymore. I've also started buying direct from brands for things like Natasha Denona.
I haven’t heard any good reviews on this foundation, it doesn’t seem to work for dry skin, oily skin, mature skin or younger skin! Also, I feel the same way about Sephora. And no Sephora employee has ever correctly color matched me. The foundation finder tool on the app is better than the Sephora employees!
Have you noticed when getting shade matched in Sephora, that if they don't have the shade that matches you best in stock, that the Sephora employee will try to sell you on the next best shade? It's annoying. I have had them not say a word and then bring me a bottle and they act like the bottle they are giving me to purchase is my best match. I have caught them doing that at least three times since the first time I went home with a foundation that made me look jaundice. And it isn't until I say "hey you brought me the wrong shade" that they finally might mention that they are low on stock and this was my closest match they had in at the time. I can't stand it. Now what I do is immediately swatch Fenty in 150 and then look for a shade that matches that swatch the best. To hell with Sephora and their little behind-the-scene-who-can-sell-the-most-merchandise-in-a-shift contest bullshit 🙄
sweetox _ yep, I agree! I’m not a fan of the Fenty formula for either foundation, but it’s my best shade match so I match any other foundation to Fenty 260. One time a Sephora employee told me I needed the shade Porcelain in the Born this Way Foundation, and then acted offended when I asked for a sample of a different color!
The lighting inside Sephora is terrible for shade matching. I went to buy the Cover FX powder foundation and was matched to shade N35 and when I told the sales associate that shade was going to be very dark, she basically told me the machine knew better than I did! For reference, I wear NW10 in MAC so P10 in Cover FX is a good match. It was obvious that the matcher was wrong but it was almost like she wouldn't or couldn't admit it. A quick look at my vampire like skintone would have told her that N35 was too dark!
Cara M. Wow! I’m a G40 in Color FX I think and a Mac NC30 so that would be closer to my skin color! They always match me way too light and yellow and I 100% think it’s the terrible lighting in there.
@@nancycompier I was honestly really confused as to why the SA was trying to sell me a product that was obviously too dark rather than say the machine was wrong and let's just take a look at the line. She was looking at me while talking and she could tell I didn't have a light to medium skintone!! There's a reason my coworkers accuse me of being a vampire lol
I had a feeling I wouldn't like it and basing on what I saw here... I definitely won't like it. I couldn't wear Milani's previous foundation either (the perfect and conceal or whatever) that one looked horrendous on my skin. This especially didn't hold a candle to your previous video with the L'oreal foundation.
Blue light technology? More like color corrected with peach tones to correct the blue light. Or just press off on your phone? Just more word salad to make the foundation seem different. Just make me look smooth and healthy, not orange and I will buy.
I agree. I'm a fan of many Milani products but this foundation has the weirdest texture I've ever seen. I looked like a lizard but sort of gummy rather than dry. :-(
They'd better not give you any hassle at Sephora! With the cheddar you spend in there? I go in there bare faced and I don't care what they think. They can kiss my butt. ANYway, nope not interested in the blendiful thingy. Don't care. Can you tell I'm in a mood? I'm in a mood. Have a great weekend!
I don't really understand the blue light gimmick for this product...just activate the blue light filter on your phone if you're worried about that sort of thing. Problem solved, thanks Milani! :D
Too bad this foundation was a bust. :( I’m yelling at my screen- Don’t spend too much! The spring sale at Sephora should be coming up. ( Isn’t it usually around Easter? ) I like our Sephora here in our town. No attitude. Every one there seems happy too.
A happy Sephora! There's one in Vegas that I like to go to because they're happy :) Heh don't worry - I have a wish list as long as my arm for the sale! I think it is usually around end of March, early April? I don't know why I can never remember this each year.
Yes to a video using the Blendiful!

Ooooh I will look into this because I'm out of my No 7 and haven't bought a new one yet! And my smile lines are starting to show it!
Geek Out of Water Oh and Ulta carries it, so, even better!
Aren’t cats just the best? Lol. Adorable little turds! I love the two I have and all the ones that have been part of my life!
Oh that pallette! You think it would work great for Warm tone skin..
nice content
I’ve eard a lot more negative reviews on this foundation than I have positive ones. I’ll be passing on this one. I’ve had the same problem with Sephora but it’s only at one location so I’ve only been going to the other store. Both are an hour away so I don’t make it there that often but the one I go to has a girl that works there that is awesome. I look forward to seeing each time I do go.
I’m 10 minutes in and I have a feeling I know how this is going to end. 😂
Hehehe are you saying I have no poker face?? 😂 (ha I totally don't!)
@@goow IKKKK!!! :-)
Your eyes are gorgeous 😍
Omg so yes. I just had an idea. When you read the foundation claims, you should put your voice into the movie announcer voice 😂😂😂 there’s a filter for everything, there’s gotta be one for that!
😂😂😂I must find this!!!
Walgreens has the Boots No7 line correcting serum booster at buy 2 get 1 free. Where do you normally get yours? Thx for sharing.
Oooooooooh THANK YOU!!!! I almost paid full price in Target last night and resisted!
“Girl we pale,” 😂😂 pale here too! 😂👌
Yep, pale here too lol
#palepeopleunite
💖💖 Good to know, now I won't waste my 💰. Great video. I'm definitely pale myself in Michigan! 🤣🤣 Always. I don't tan ever. I lobster.
Lobsters unite!! 😂
So how were the employees at Sephora this time?? I agree with you about shopping there. I just don't like going in the store. Do you see my picture???
This time Sephora was very friendly! They moved to a bigger location and it was my first time going to the new place. Maybe that made them happier! :-D Love the picture!!!
Our Ulta has an extremely judgmental, sassy, rude, James Charles fan. He will literally make you cry. My husband, who’s super easygoing and precious, snapped back at him and we left. 😳
Milani foundations have never worked for me, so I assumed this one would be a pass. I’ve got the new Wet and Wild Dewy to try (from Walmart- they have the most fabulous return policy!). Still haven’t found anything to unseat my beloved Missha Perfect Cover. ☺️
Edit- you said pissed. I ❤️ it.
Ooooooh that would totally work. Or even if they just said I'd look like Wayne Goss glanced in my general direction.... I'd take that, too.
I liked this one sheered out with a primer. But it didn't like me -- and caused a rosacea flare up. :-(
It gave me a zit on my jawline that I'm still fighting with. :-/
Hello Shelly!🎶🎤😲🎶 😎WELL...."another one bites the dust, bites the dust, bites the dust"😉 🙀
hi, shelly! so many promises, undelivered. i wish it had worked better with all the shade ranges and all. sigh. at least you got some great things at sephora! have a wonderful weekend and enjoy yourself!
I wish I could afford that Natasha Denona palette.
I have no doubt CColor will dupe it!!
Does it have sunscreen
No SPF in this one.
This looked good on you Shelley!! Have you gotten engaged??
Absolutely not! lol 😂
❤you girl
💜
I had a feeling I wouldn't like it and basing on what I saw here... I definitely won't like it.
I couldn't wear Milani's previous foundation either (the perfect and conceal or whatever) that one looked horrendous on my skin.
This especially didn't hold a candle to your previous video with the L'oreal foundation.
There are not many foundations I could put after that Age Perfect that would look good! 😂
Blue light technology? More like color corrected with peach tones to correct the blue light. Or just press off on your phone? Just more word salad to make the foundation seem different. Just make me look smooth and healthy, not orange and I will buy.
Yes!!! Please! Is it too much to ask??!
You’re not the first bad review I’ve seen of this one. Taylor wasn’t impressed either. Sounds they need to head back to the drawing board.
I agree. I'm a fan of many Milani products but this foundation has the weirdest texture I've ever seen. I looked like a lizard but sort of gummy rather than dry. :-(
A gummy lizard!!! Now if Milani had testers as descriptive as we are, they'd have known it needed more work!
@@goow LOL! So true! :-D
I do not like Sephora, very judgmental. One Ulta employee made me cry. I did find a nice Ulta to go to. I try to order most things online.
Yep I order most online too. That sucks about your Ulta experience :(
😞❤️
They'd better not give you any hassle at Sephora! With the cheddar you spend in there? I go in there bare faced and I don't care what they think. They can kiss my butt. ANYway, nope not interested in the blendiful thingy. Don't care. Can you tell I'm in a mood? I'm in a mood. Have a great weekend!
When I'm having a "bad" Sephora experience, I can always read all over their faces when I check out that they're shocked to see I'm Rouge.
I don't really understand the blue light gimmick for this product...just activate the blue light filter on your phone if you're worried about that sort of thing. Problem solved, thanks Milani! :D
I'm mature skin at 46 and dry af skin. I will skip it.
This will be a hard pass! Thank you for saving us so much money on products that well are not the best❤️
Maybe not a good foundation day, but you still look fab.
Too bad this foundation was a bust. :(
I’m yelling at my screen- Don’t spend too much!

😂😂😂
I hated this one LOL
