Help!!!???,..... Okay heres where im stuck... so ive powered down and get to the screen that says (1) START (in green letters). as I scroll thru, the only other options include (2) Restart bootloader, and... (3) Power off.. there is no option "recovery very mode"!! I cauld use ANY input as this currently is my only form of communication until my replacement phone arrives!!! thanks all!!

That didn't work. It says blank screen at the bottom left was in white fastboot mode...
