I totally agree with this guy very interesting video I got the exact same phone have the exact same problem Nokia needs to fix this bullshit make it much more easy to fast load and reboot clear all data factory reset
@@joyzilla4638this video is showing how to do the hard reset with button commands as a result of a lost screen password or lockout. Your solution is not possible under those circumstances.
Is there possibly a reset button key hole in the device possibly itself near the battery anywhere maybe if you trigger that maybe it will factory reset. If there is one.
This is really a damn shame. I bought this phone to use temporarily while having my high-end smartphone repaired. At the time I bought this temporary phone (for $50 at Best Buy), I assumed I could wipe it clean and sell it or give it to someone else once I had my original smartphone back. As this guy says, the way this phone is programmed makes no sense. This situation unfortunately makes this phone useless or as some techs say, makes it a "brick."
Doesn't work either on C200. So I used Settings < System < Reset and my phone is still buggy, missing wallpapers, different system colors. Something's not right.
That sucks. As for Nokia, they are high fiving in the background watching this video. They went from being one ☝️ of the top dogs in the business to making $40 smart phones. They will do whatever it takes to make sure no one messes with their bottom line.
actually u can hard reset the nokia c100 all you have to do is go into fastboot then connect to a computer and go to cmd through android studio platform tools and give the commands first fastboot devices to make sure ur pc recognizes the device then after that 2nd command is fastboot reboot recovery and it will reboot the device into the recovery menu then just wipe factory data device just figured this out messing around with fastboot commands. Warning if done this way be prepared to do a frp bypass on the device
I managed to get back into my phone without use of pc or apps of any kind first thing I did was make sure phone was powered fully off I did this by removing the battery and reinstalled the battery once completely off I long press and hold power button and volume down until fastboot mode appeared then left it sit on that screen for 10 minutes then long press and hold power button and volume up button until eventually it booted up and worked fine but I am having a charging issue which is what caused it to end up in fastboot mode as I was trying to get it to charge which failed but I was able to get back into the phone I’ve tried multiple different chargers outlets ect thought maybe water possibly got into charge port so dried the phone out in hopes that works I’ll update you guys on if I’m successful thankfully I was able to get out of the fastboot mode without the use of a computer I did try installing android studio tools tried to run skd wasn’t able to figure it out I got impatient but thankfully I was able to somehow bypass all that by tricking the phone
Getting "out" of fast boot isn't the problem. All you have to do for that is press the power button lol. You literally just had to turn your phone on lol The problem is being able to do a factory reset from a locked screen.
I am having the same issues here and I just got the phone not even a week ago to use for MP3 player only and its pissed me off Any advice would be great!! 😡

If your phone is turned on, turn it off. Hold down the Power button and the Volume Down key Instead of a regular loading screen you’ll see a menu where navigation is performed using the volume keys (to move the cursor) and the Power button (to select). Select “Wipe data/factory reset” via the Power button.
Reset Factory Settings From the main screen, slide the screen up to display your apps. Locate and tap the "Settings" icon. Locate and tap "System." Tap "Reset options." Tap "Erase all data (factory reset)." A message will appear with a description of the data that will be erased. ... A warning message will appear.
This worked per your steps, but this is a Tracfone C100. So, once all data was wiped it restarted with the Android image followed by the Tracfone screen. I'm assuming that makes this C100 only useable with the Tracfone provider, yes?
Okay, that's cool and all, but what about how to do that with the phone locked? That's the problem I am having. It just goes to fastboot menu, and I don't have a computer I can use for it.

I had the same problem. Phone was frozen on boot load screen. The only options I had was start, reboot bootloader, and power off. So what I did was change the SIM card or take the current one out. Waited until the phone completely died. Connect it to a charger and while the phone is still turned off hold the volume up and power button. I was able to do a hard reset this way. Let me know if this works for anyone :)
