Suet Competition - Do The Birds Really Care About Suet Flavor?

I was curious to see if you purchased two different flavor suet cakes from the same company, same freshness date, and feed them in the same area - would the birds prefer one over the other? You can actually see a bird in the video show there is a preference. That suet cake actually ends up being the one eaten first in its entirety.....

Peanut treat won this competition - but overall it wasn’t by that much more. My experience with suet is you can’t go wrong with “peanut” flavored in traditional suet. In no melt suet varieties peanut also is a popular favor but my birds prefer orange flavor no melt suet. The orange flavor suet is a hit no matter when I feed it so would be my choice if you only fed one suet.
