Could you answer a question for me, I know you say this pump is solar but does the pump continue to work at night? In the past, I purchased a "solar" pump, which apparently works only during daylight hours. It promptly quit working the moment the sun went down and started again when the sun came up. So, does this "solar pump" store energy so it will continue working during nighttime hours?
Yeah this needs direct sunlight to work. It has a small battery that keeps it going 10-15mins after the sun goes down. But basically it needs the sun, won’t work at night

Hi Karolin, I’ve put the link to the one we purchased in the description. It says currently unavailable at Amazon. I would assume other manufacturers have something similar
So it has been two years. Doest it still work? No it does not.
Actually it might work if it’s kept clean and gunk removed regularly. I didn’t keep up with it too well. It’s lying somewhere after I replaced it with a different solar fountain
We clean and put it away during winter...Use another dish for the birds to use during this season.
Our fountain is as good as new.❤

Hello Again - Can you please tell me the diameter (width) in inches of the solar fountain?
Hi Dionne, you can see the links I pasted in the last response and the products have dimensions called out. The bowl is about 12 inches and the fountain about 6-8 inches
