I used the JSAUX SSD dock to clone my SSD with macrium, and then upgraded my ssd. Went perfectly! This method is really great, love how well designed the Ally is for easy upgradability

Why do we have to wear the battery down to 20%?

Why not just back up the ssd onto your new drive before you open it up? All you need to do is swap it and it's done.

That's an excellent point! This is an alternate method as many people have an external storage drive and most do not have a external m.2 enclosure

Oh brother you’re the only youtuber who’s telling us that we need a bunch of thing while everybody else tell us we just need the SSD card and the tool set.

Chris my external ssd won't show up in the boot priority in Bios. Only the USB appears.

there's no need to boot off the external SSD, you'll need to boot off the USB which is where Macrium reflect will be.
