Thanks for that! I always have a variety of smoked oysters on the shelf but of course only open 1 at a time. The texture is usually an issue with me, some being mushy. Good to know the comparisons.

I don't think I've ever had smoked oysters. I usually get the Geisha brand regular ones in the can. Nothing better than oysters on a saltine. So damn good. I'll have to try the smoked ones next time I get to the store. If you like sardines/kippers, try Polar brand Smoked and Peppered Herring Fillets, they are fantastic. they're good and meaty with a great pepper flavor. (Not really that spicy) King Oscar are the best sardines overall especially the 2-layer ones. But I like the Beach Cliff with mustard sauce or the green chili in olive oil too. They're great on saltines and half the price of King Oscar. Great Value ones are ok, not great, but edible.

You must try Ekone USA own canned oysters in round tin, as well as S&W from Korea. But i don't think the latter available in the Western market.
