The clearest description I have seen of this feature of Affinity Photo. It didn't fry my brain (too much) and I now have a much better grasp of how the levels adjustment works.

You are truly a gifted teacher! I recently purchased Affinity and have found it mind-bendingly difficult to use and understand but after watching your video, I'm starting to get it! Thank you so much.

You are very good at throughly explaining all needed information. You explain as if you are talking to someone who has no clue what’s going on as apposed to someone who explains like they are explaining to themselves... That’s a rarity. New subscriber!

Great tutorial! Just talk about the functionality of this one tool.
No confusion about sharpening, cropping or whatever what I often see.

thanks for the info. I always enjoy viewing the tutorials created by the many folks in YT that help users of AP. While I know that this is about levels, perhaps photographers and editors (now often the same compared to our old film days) a judicious use of the clone/stamp or inpainting would be of help to remove the candle from the Groom's head and the chair growing out of the Bride's nose. Personally, I would have removed the candle if possible or leaned the Groom closer to the Bride and also removed the chair as well as the plate (hide it behind the bride). Just don't forget to replace them after the image is on the SD card.
Also, by leaning the couple closer together more intimacy is created and the bride's left are will bend better. Next, address the R arm and hand (palms are not very attractive). This is just trying different levels of placing the arm and bending it with the hand in toward her body and adjusted so that the edge of the hand is showing and the fingers are long and tall and soft. The latter things are really difficult to fix in post but quite easy before pressing the shutter release.
I rather liked the cyan look to the misty background and some toning down of the bright area in the back would keep the eye on the couple. These are just a few thoughts that might be of value when doing images of the couple, singles or groups.
    HTH but YMMV

I use Affinity intuitively, but as I do more work with it, I need more info, I got into your web, and got the info about levels. Do you have other videos about layers, do you have an intro to layers, somehow I cannot get it. Thanks for your great work. Rc

Hi. Thanks for your clear tutorial. When I hold Alt key I can see the appearing of image as I move the cursor in the master RGB panel. When I do the same in the independent channels, red, green or blue, it keeps black. Any idea would be wellcome.
