Loved that video it came out so freaking clean! I created something similar and I was astonished by the results, seeing your work I am inspired to give it another shot When I made my own I just remember how long it took to create, I've been discouraaged, but bro!! you brought it back, thanks man Keep on creating!!!!

I’ve literally just signed up for Adobe yesterday (been using affinity for a year and I love it, but it seems like to be taken seriously you need to be proficient in the Adobe programs, so I’m basically back to learning from scratch kind of so will be binge watching all your illustrator tutorials now. Thanks for taking the time man 😃👌
thanks for the tutorials, they are helping me hone in on my designing abilities. what is that font called i love it and would like to use it for a shirt I'm designing for my company. Much respect on what you do and thank you again for showing this novice how to succeed. you are my inspiration.
cool video mike thks also mike i didnt have no plastisol heat transfer paper so i used baking paper it wouldnt stick to the pallet very well with it being grease proof i printed my image put it under the heat press with some cardboard so the platton was sat on the cardboard and semi cured it for 10 seconds then i did the final press on the garment for 15 seconds and the image looked great and there was on ink residue left on the paper either it was a cold peel i will order heat transfer paper now for labels great content mike thks amazing
Excellent stuff, I’m so glad you tried it bru! And funny enough I was even thinking would baking paper actually work! Well done for thinking outside the box, that’s what it’s all about! I’ve got so much transfer paper I actually need to put some on eBay or the mtp site for sale. Thanks for letting me know how you got on! Awesome!
Hey Mike, great video! Can I ask, what ink are you using in the UK for your film printer to get solid blacks without a rip? I've an Epson, (originally pigment ink), and am struggling to get anything opaque enough, even with all black opaque dye ink and pushing CMYK levels to 100%. Would appreciate any pointers you could give. Using waterproof film... Washout is always a struggle. Used to have accurip which worked great with the inks, but have moved back to the UK and no longer have a printer the rip works with. Now have WF-7710 with all black CIS. Thanks, Richie
Hey Richie! Thanks for you comment and question. So I have an epson 4880 currently but used to have an old epson 3000 (ancient) where I had one black only, no bumping up on the other channels. I think cyan doesn’t even do anything as light passes through this colour someone once told me. Does your printer have a setting where you can push up the black level, in the settings before you print or in the actual print settings (make sure you have the print driver installed) . I know with some printers you have a light setting / standard or max ink usage. Also what is the resolution set on the printer? Ink wise I’m using Accusuite ink. Let me know about the settings, I’ve even printed and exposed single colour films from a laser printer!
@@KeeponCreatingTV thanks for the input - I'm pretty sure I was doing everything right, I've been in the print game a while. I'm running off an iMac and was using the Mac drivers before at high quality, max Res, glossy paper etc. Reason was, I was trialing a Mac compatible rip, since I got no joy with just the Epson drivers at max Res, highest quality & paper settings. Unfortunately the rip didn't work, so I'm looking at reinstalling the Epson drivers again with the CIS. A double print put down enough ink to make the film opaque, so I know the film can hold it... I just can't seem to get a decent volume down. There is a pigment ink in the uk called Blacquer, that promises results, as a last ditch attempt, but I really should be able to do this with current setup.... I feel like I've tried every driver setting except a Windows system!!! I created the artwork in Affinity, (both designer and photo), so will try again in Photoshop with the Epson drivers and highest res settings again. Light source is weak UV florescent, so it's not like I'm blasting the films with light! May have to end up splurging on the Blacquer ink if I can't nail this one.... Thanks anyway - it's the last piece of the puzzle I need to launch my clothing brand here. Film opacity really shouldn't be causing me this much grief! Stay safe, buddy
What I’ll try when I go into work (tomorrow or Wednesday) is print from Affinity without a rip and see how it comes out. Then I’ll let you know. Seems very weird, emulsion gone off maybe? Let me think.
@@KeeponCreatingTV that would be awesome, Mike! Thanks very much. The emulsion I use is Murakami T9 photopoly, which is quality stuff. (I import especially). It was new when I had these issues. It's definitely the films, though. Hold them up to the lightbulb and you see straight through them Ruling out Affinity would be a great step forwards. Much appreciated! :)
