Tonle Sap Floating Village is an extraordinary attraction in Cambodia. It is situated on the largest lake in Southeast Asia, Tonle Sap Lake, and is one of the most famous tourist destinations in the country.
One of the most notable features of the floating village is the fact that everything is built on water. Houses, schools, markets, pagodas, and even police stations are all constructed on stilts or floating on water. It’s unfortunate they didn’t give you amok. It’s definitely not a soup dish. Amok is served in banana leaves like little pots. But I’m glad you still enjoyed the food.

It’s not fish amok, it’s somlaw kawko, which is one of our traditional Khmer food too. We call Che Neangvong for Thai basil. I’m glad you enjoyed our food. Thank you so much for your visit, and we greatly appreciated the help to the local people there. You are right, Cambodian food is not spicy at all, we give hot peppers or Chilli sauce on the side. Hi, I look at the amok, but it looks more like somlor korko. Somlor korko is a vegetable soup. But I'm glad that the food didn't disappoint you. 😊

Would like to say there are no wild crocs in Cambodia or Vietnam only the domesticated ones for sale. During the french protectorate time, the french administration used to pay 1 Riel (3 US Cents in 1950's) for each croc egg to be disposed of.

I am here having clarification. It's not a kind rip off because Cambodians are also charged the same price. Steam rice is not free everywhere, it depends on where you eat. Actually, at the Tonlesap lake is more expensive than other places. It's like when you eat at the airport.
What is the cost of this trip from siem reap?
$80 all up for pickup and drop off to and from the hotel and the private boat tour. You can do it much cheaper if you go on the cruise with other people 😁

Im glad you're enjoying every moment, but that man at the tickets station had to hesitant about what the price was when he should have given a straight answer. Please bargain them, i love Cambodia and all countries. But when they know you're from a different country, they will over charge you even if you're Cambodian from America.
