Great presentation!! Never heard of the term LWD until now. As a former member of this cult for over 30 years living in Alaska, I finally realized that when two of our senior workers were removed for preaching "false" doctrine in the early 1990s; the accusers were correct. The "false" doctrine was not the LWD they were being mandated to preach. The two senior workers were simply preaching the true doctrine of Christ and they considered themselves true servants, emphasizing our need to establish a genuine relationship with Jesus, and not the workers. I'm thankful for what and how God opens up our vision and understanding of Him through experiences such that His Holy Spirit can dwell within us and be a true Comforter. I learned a lot from many in this cult and am thankful for it, but the time came when I realized the Holy Spirit did not have free course among the members and workers anymore, I felt bound and wanted to be liberated. Thanks be to God that He removed me from it when He did. I am now enjoying a true relationship directly with Jesus, the Son of the Living God.
Thank you for sharing this! I am 53 now and was B&R in this doctrine. I left in March of 2023. It has been difficult dealing with the fear and guilt messages that were instilled in me from birth. However, now that I am 14 months into this new experience, I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. This video was very helpful.

Jesus lead & guided me into all truth over 40years ago. It was a light bulb moment for me. The opening of my eyes to know that Jesus is the way, the truth & the life, & that He is much bigger than the box that the workers had put Him in. We are saved by grace through faith. The lack of Biblical understanding begins with their total misunderstanding of the Triune nature of Who God is, as well as their misunderstanding of what the Church is. I wonder how many children, teens or adults who were workers' sexual victims later became "workers" themselves. I don't think all the workers are predators. Not all the members of this group have been sexually victimized or condone it. The fact that so many members have left the group since learning about these scandals, and learning more about Scripture, has set them free of the Mind Control posed by the workers' messages. It's just that... wow, that bit at the end, about being freed from slavery... y'all ain't there yet. Show us another church or way that is closer to this way or the teachings of Christ The fact that they’re wrong on many of these rules and regulations they have instituted are not scripture. I was reading an article today and it mentioned an idea behind the Mafia criminal world and how they achieve loyalty. I am paraphrasing: Everyone has collective responsibility and complicity in the crime and therefore their loyalty to the organisation is guaranteed. This is what I believe kept the abuse secret for so long on the part of many workers. Many who got promoted to top positions had skeletons so their loyalty to the "work" and protecting of perps were guaranteed. It is the only way it could have carried on for this long. I think everyone who is seriously interested in building a life on "truth" should be willing to investigate the "corner stone" of that "truth". If that "truth" is based on "superstition" .. then what does that say about everything growing out of it? The definition of "Superstition" is "an unreasonable belief". Lots of people live a life of faith .. but "faith" in lies will catch up to you .. leaving you with wasted time, energy, finances, etc. Even if you are late to the realization .. it's better than not at all. Some people put their "faith" in a cross on a chain around their neck .. or displayed on the wall of their home .. thinking that that cross is going to keep evil spirits away from them. Some others believe that by blessing the wine and wafer of communion .. that it causes the wine and wafer to become the "literal" flesh and blood of Jesus! To those people believing those things is what "faith" is made of. How about Santa on a sled full of toys pulled by flying reindeer .. imagine growing up and at 50 years old still believing that! Yet how many will believe without question .. that someone LITERALLY walked on water, changed it into wine .. or fed 5,000 people with a child's lunch and still took up 12 baskets of leftovers. Stories are used to control people .. that's what "news stories" are all about. The Flavian Caesars of Rome invented the story of Jesus as a way to control the Jewish zealots who did not like being under the rule of Rome. It's still an effective story today!

I don't know if we have enough evidence to say who actually invented the Jesus story or why, but it's pretty clear that it was made up by someone(s), somewhere, at some point in time, for some reasons that will most likely remain forever unknown to us. I've heard this hypothesis you've presented before, and I think there's a book about it? While it's a possibility, we still can't really say for sure. The oldest scraps of the NT date to about 150 years after Jesus supposedly lived. And there's no complete NT showing up in the record until the mid-4th century. So there was a long time in there we have no idea what happened. There's just nothing to go on. I think what we can confidently say is that the gospels are fictional stories, and that there is very little chance there was ever a real person behind the stories. Richard Carrier's "On the Historicity of Jesus" knocks that one out of the park.

"Why do the enlightened/educated Jewish people .. as a nation doctrinally reject the Jesus/Y'shua story?" It would seem that there has to be a very good fact-based reason. I was born in 1950 .. so as the oldest child the stories and evidences of my father's experiences were often seen in books and SDA church literature. After my parent's death .. I have a very good friend who retired from the Navy and went back to Boston, MA to live and enjoyed attending Boston Hebrew University .. and while there listened as one of his teachers elaborated on the role of the Flavian Caesars in forming the Jesus story. It might be speculation of one man .. however, the work of Joseph Atwill's work in his book, "Caesar's Messiah" .. provides a second witness to the subject. Maybe in the Vatican Library we might find more questions than answers .. but Judaism's arguments showing a major contrast in the New Testament vs Old Testament teachings can't be ignored. As a Nation .. Judaism had a noble reason to reject the unclean pig as a sacred offering before their God .. as well as the drinking of blood or eating of flesh .. expressed in the transubstantiation doctrine .. for example. I'm not an Atheist or Agnostic .. however, I do NOT perceive "God" in the way most people do. There is a reason for "Life Energy" .. as seen in the "Book of Nature" .. there are many things we can do .. but we can't fashion a piece of clay into a creature and give it life. An old oak tree begins it life as a seed .. but which came first the seed or the tree .. after many years the tree dies .. someone comes along with a chainsaw and cuts it down .. some of it becomes a chair .. and some is put into a fire and from that fire is Energy .. which is never destroyed .. only dispersed. But seriously. Chester is a nice guy. He was in my Sunday AM meetings when I was a kid. He's a persuasive speaker and he likes to preach.
It's just that... wow, that bit at the end, about being freed from slavery... y'all ain't there yet. You're still in a mental prison, locked into a world view that was made up by humans centuries ago when there were no microscopes, no telescopes, and almost no one was literate or could count past 10 with their shoes on.
Getting out of 2x2s is only the *first step* to freedom. Only when you realize that all religion is a lie can you begin to build your life into something real.

I was reading an article today and it mentioned an idea behind the Mafia criminal world and how they achieve loyalty.
I am paraphrasing: Everyone has collective responsibility and complicity in the crime and therefore their loyalty to the organisation is guaranteed.
This is what I believe kept the abuse secret for so long on the part of many workers.
Many who got promoted to top positions had skeletons so their loyalty to the "work" and protecting of perps were guaranteed. It is the only way it could have carried on for this long.

I think everyone who is seriously interested in building a life on "truth" should be willing to investigate the "corner stone" of that "truth". If that "truth" is based on "superstition" .. then what does that say about everything growing out of it? The definition of "Superstition" is "an unreasonable belief". Lots of people live a life of faith .. but "faith" in lies will catch up to you .. leaving you with wasted time, energy, finances, etc. Even if you are late to the realization .. it's better than not at all. Some people put their "faith" in a cross on a chain around their neck .. or displayed on the wall of their home .. thinking that that cross is going to keep evil spirits away from them. Some others believe that by blessing the wine and wafer of communion .. that it causes the wine and wafer to become the "literal" flesh and blood of Jesus! To those people believing those things is what "faith" is made of. How about Santa on a sled full of toys pulled by flying reindeer .. imagine growing up and at 50 years old still believing that! Yet how many will believe without question .. that someone LITERALLY walked on water, changed it into wine .. or fed 5,000 people with a child's lunch and still took up 12 baskets of leftovers. Stories are used to control people .. that's what "news stories" are all about. The Flavian Caesars of Rome invented the story of Jesus as a way to control the Jewish zealots who did not like being under the rule of Rome. It's still an effective story today!

I don't know if we have enough evidence to say who actually invented the Jesus story or why, but it's pretty clear that it was made up by someone(s), somewhere, at some point in time, for some reasons that will most likely remain forever unknown to us. I've heard this hypothesis you've presented before, and I think there's a book about it? While it's a possibility, we still can't really say for sure.
The oldest scraps of the NT date to about 150 years after Jesus supposedly lived. And there's no complete NT showing up in the record until the mid-4th century. So there was a long time in there we have no idea what happened. There's just nothing to go on.
I think what we can confidently say is that the gospels are fictional stories, and that there is very little chance there was ever a real person behind the stories. Richard Carrier's "On the Historicity of Jesus" knocks that one out of the park.

"Why do the enlightened/educated Jewish people .. as a nation doctrinally reject the Jesus/Y'shua story?" It would seem that there has to be a very good fact-based reason. My father posed as Jesus for the artist, Harry Anderson in the 1948-49 time frame. I was born in 1950 .. so as the oldest child the stories and evidences of my father's experiences were often seen in books and SDA church literature. After my parent's death .. I was afforded the luxury of questions .. and so "Superstition" as "an unreasonable belief" became better understood. I have a very good friend who retired from the Navy and went back to Boston, MA to live and enjoyed attending Boston Hebrew University .. and while there listened as one of his teachers elaborated on the role of the Flavian Caesars in forming the Jesus story. It might be speculation of one man .. however, the work of Joseph Atwill's work in his book, "Caesar's Messiah" .. provides a second witness to the subject. Maybe in the Vatican Library we might find more questions than answers .. but Judaism's arguments showing a major contrast in the New Testament vs Old Testament teachings can't be ignored. As a Nation .. Judaism had a noble reason to reject the unclean pig as a sacred offering before their God .. as well as the drinking of blood or eating of flesh .. expressed in the transubstantiation doctrine .. for example.
I'm not an Atheist or Agnostic .. however, I do NOT perceive "God" in the way most people do. There is a reason for "Life Energy" .. as seen in the "Book of Nature" .. there are many things we can do .. but we can't fashion a piece of clay into a creature and give it life. An old oak tree begins it life as a seed .. but which came first the seed or the tree .. after many years the tree dies .. someone comes along with a chainsaw and cuts it down .. some of it becomes a chair .. and some is put into a fire and from that fire is Energy .. which is never destroyed .. only dispersed.

Okay... but so what? What does this have to do with not being an atheist?
"Atheist" just means I believe in one less god than theists. And there are many reasons why I am this way... but none of them have anything to do with making clay into animals.
