Her twisting form in that triple is just ridiculously good. The kind of form that makes you say, “really? Are you serious?” It’s crazy we all know what perfect twisting form is: legs straight and together, toes pointed, but rarely do we see a gymnast perform it with the perfection that Grishina does.
I have to really give it to her...she had such incredible twisting technique. So gorgeous in the air. The commentator is way too harsh and a bit nasty.
The commentator wasn't criticizing Grishina, he was criticizing the new rule (in 2013) of not standing and breathing in the corner, suggested to FIG by Cirque du Soleil; so, some gymnasts just stand before get in the corner instead. The rule was ridiculous.
@@marsbars2889 the rule is even harsher now, you can't stand and catch your breath at all except just one time, you need constant choreography otherwise it's a deduction. The need for constant choreography and harsh deductions on tumbling mean that many gymnasts now only do 3 tumbling runs, which Grishina should have done as well; her opening tuck 1/1 should have been eliminated and she should have connected the 2.5 twists into a front 1/1 instead
No it wasn't. She takes a huge bounce back on her first pass and it will be at least a .3 for the step back (I think it would be a big step back and a smaller step back) and at least a .1 for her form in the air. .2 deductions cannot be taken on floor. It's either .1, .3. or 1.000.
she went to moscow university after retiring to study journalism and she met her husband viktor there, married at 19 and as you probably know she has boy called Dima, i wish we saw her in rio or a world championship :(
Boooooring. The whole thing is like, "Excuse me while I huff my way through this next part." What happened to the Grishina of 2010? Bland choreography, no timing, no endurance, shoddy landings - ugh.

Who is this commentator?! I want him to critique my life

Worst commentor I have ever heard.

Maravillosa, esperaba verla por mucho tiempo activa, alguién sabe que fue de ella?

Jesus I miss Grishina so much, she shouldve had a way more succesful career. she couldve made rio at the young age of 20!! Quenn of twisting :)
Why the English commentator with the dreadful accent?
Didn't like the routine but what on earth was the commentator talking about
