As someone who has only owned diesel vehicles for the last 28 years, I can confirm that diesel fuel pump nozzles come in two types. The larger high speed pumps and nozzles used for trucks, and a smaller nozzle, the same size as a gasoline pump, used for diesel cars. The bigger truck nozzle doesn't fit easily in my own diesel car, although you can kind of make it work in a pinch when only a truck pump is available. The smaller car diesel nozzle will fit in any car.
@@gotham61 The diesel pump at gas stations is larger than regular gas -- the large tank trucks probably have one even bigger, I'll accept that -- but even at regular corner gas stations, it's a larger nozzle than a standard unleaded.
When I was in my teens I worked with my dad every summer power washing mobile homes (mud 70s). He taught me what each pump was and what types of vehicles they're for. And how to properly pump the gas in my car. After I got my first car when I was 18 he started teaching me how to do mechanics on it, change the tires and change the oils. He told me that there's not always going to be a man around to do it for you. You'll have to do it yourself. Those very lessons came in handy 6 years later when my engine got a crack in it. My dad bought me a junk car with a good engine. I successfully transferred the engines out of and into the cars by myself using my dad's mechanic tools and a rented engine lift. I was so proud of myself when I was started the car right up after I was done. Why pay a mechanic when you can do it yourself?😊
I remember being about that age. I was nervous because the engine light came on and didn’t want to get on the freeway. I called my dad. He was like ‘does it drive’? When I said yes, he was like ‘Well, then come home!’
Since I was 16 and starting to drive, usually about 1 time every six months when I am filling up my tank, I will put 1 gallon of Diesel in my tank and fill it the rest of the way with gasoline, the diesel acts like a solvent and cleans the complete fuel system, pump, carb, injectors, all of it, occasionally, if you add a LITTLE diesel to your tank, it is actually beneficial, now putting gasoline in a diesel vehicle, will cost you THOUSANDS of dollars to fix.
Hi Kabir, if I had pulled something like that, l wouldn't be typing this right now! My dad would have disowned me, at the very least. Else, l would never have heard the end of it.
My partner accidentally put petrol in his diesel car, he was not amused when he realised what he’d done and my laughing hysterically didn’t make things better 😂 real joke is that he worked in a garage, he’s never living that down 😂😂😂
LOL I replayed the aussie dad one 3 times, too funny him getting worked up with his accent.
My dad would have told me not to even come home. And, if I was doing a prank on him that would not be any better. I'd be toast.
That one dad was right, the diesel nozzle won't fit in.
Diesel nozzle is larger than a regular gas . When I was younger I grabbed the wrong one it doesn’t fit.

"It's supposed to be idiot proof, but I guess you surpassed that."
Mixing up fuel is the biggest crime you can commit!
The brother dying laughing is such a sibling reaction 😅
Diesel in a gas tank isn't good, but gasoline in a diesel engine will burn the engine up

These dads are literally blowing a gasket! 😂😂 These poor guys.
I absolutely did that 1x only .😂 ruined the car 🚗 😮
Crazy being the diesel spout doesn't fit in a gasoline tank or visa versa....... at a gas station in America🤘

I didn’t want this video to end.
Yeah, never come between a southerner and their truck. Truck>God>Family that's how they roll.
My daughter has a Jaguar SUV that runs on diesel, its a beautiful vehicle.

0:55 I think he just had a heart attack.
It would be simple. I would never, ever use his vehicle again because I lied to him. Not because of a damaged car.
Just an FYI, this is not possible in American vehicles. The diesel nozzle is bigger than the gasoline nozzle and subsequently will not fit.
Aren't diesel nozzles too wide to fit into a gas tank opening?

Kabir. I before E except after C. It's DIESEL
