I hope Bama learned you can't take your foot off the gas against anyone. Especially top tier teams. History tells us playing prevent defense in the 3rd quarter is asking for disaster. Keep doing the things that are winning the game for you. I hope the coaches learned that lesson. The players bailed the coaches out this time.
they didnt take their foot off the gas. UGA made adjustments at halftime....just stop. If taking the foot off the gas is an issue...why didn't they put it back on when UGA got to within 14 points?
@@johnnull8689 C,mon dude... Did you watch the game? In the first half Bama had 6, sometimes 7 men in the box and a couple times 8. They blitzed every 3rd down and sprinkled in a few on 1st. When they did a safety back it was only 1. In the 2nd half they rushed 4 and sometimes only 3.They kept 2 safeties back and they only blitzed 2 times. I know you're probably a Georgia fan and your feelings are hurt or you don't know anything about football.
you really dont knw what you are talking about...even if they did soften up a little at the beginning of the second half when UGA got to within 14 points they would have gone back to what you say they were not doing. Why didn't they? Look you got lucky Beck threw 3 INTs and his last pass was low. If he had delivered it high the 6ft 5 inchguy would have out jumped the 5ft 6 inch guy...instead he delivered it low. Beck, not ALA cost UGA the game
Bama was mentally celebrating at halftime. Saban would frown on that. Bama without a doubt took their foot off the gas. I hope that the coaches emphasize this in practice this week.
Dont try to have the offense run out the clock. Theyre not built for it. Score 70 points a game with the explosive plays. Bama CAN NOT ground and pound run out thhe clock. Not built thatt way
@johnnull8689 they absolutely let off the gas and stopped being aggressive in the 2nd half. You didn't watch the game if you believe otherwise. Way more running trying to kill the clock in the 2nd half
John they’re obviously not “quitters”. They finished the game. They won the game. It was a factor of both things and I think you’re taking the comments of “letting off the gas” personally or as something negative against UGA. I don’t think that’s the case. Coach Smart obviously made some great adjustments and the Dawgs certainly kept grinding and fought the whole game. The Tide did drift away from what was working so well early though. Ran a couple “cutsie/trick” plays and didn’t immediately get back to what was working until later. Couple that with the defense being completely gassed after Georgia went 7 for 7 on fourth down conversions (including two by penalties) and kept our defense on the field SO long in the second half while our offense made it worse by not staying on the field. All those things combined helped brew the perfect storm that almost allowed the Dawgs a comeback of epic proportions. It’s not throwing shade at Georgia, y’all played well but lost. Good game and best of luck on the rest of y’all’s schedule. Hopefully we’ll meet up again soon for another smashup ! RTR
13:09 What? LANK? Come on. LANK is a cancer. If you play bad, own it. I can just imagine the oline after playing so horribly earlier this year was chanting lank, lank, lank. NO! You were bad. Take ownership. Play well, and get the accolades.
What has this guy done to prompt anyone to say what you just did? You go get to a natty game in your second year with a program, get a multimillion dollar job coaching a storied cfb program, and get a win like this. What a damned asshat.

also, UGA shot themselves in the foot more than ALA did. There were dropped passes by Adrian, especially the deep ball. Plus Bobo is a horrible OC.

they were still playing aggressively. Give credit to UGAs adjustments at halftime
