Congratulations to Vandy for their dominating win. They had a great game plan and executed it to near perfection.
Facts. Roll Tide.
If UGA had vandy's game plan, they would have won by 30. Hi Mike Bobo, how are you.
It's not really dominating if you win by 5. But it's huge for sure.
@martinparmer not hardly bama yesterday was completely different then what u got agaisnt bama .. 9 and 1
I'm a Bama fan and Vandy's offense man handled Alabama defense!
Before the season Paul Finebaum said he didn't think Vanderbilt would ever win another SEC game. That didn't age well.
He's a moron who deserves to be fired
he's the biggest boomer idiot on ESPN
Well to be fair people weren't jumping out of their chairs to disagree with him
@@pnut3844able He sounds a lot like Stephen A Smith, really full of himself..
He's 100% right about Alabama right now. But the man doesn't know everything. Vanderbilt is the best team in the SEC

Alabama lost to diego Pavia. He was at New Mexico State last season now pulling off one of the biggest upsets. WOW😮
Why didn’t he win against his weaker opponents?
He’s done this before, beat Auburn in Jordan hare while at NMS
Still with 2 losses lol 😆
@@willreed6155both those losses were last play losses. Vandy is two play away from being undefeated. I’m a bama fan, but you have to give the QB is credit! He BEAT us throw after throw! The mfer was tough! Lol
@LouieR.4682: Diego Pavio (and Coach Jerry Kill, who has survived Cancer no less) could well be the only Quarterback and Coach duo ever to defeat a Power Four Team while a Group of Five (New Mexico State over Auburn) and then defeat a Power Four Team while a Power Four (Vanderbilt over Alabama). Impressive scarcely describes it! Two different Times at Two different Programs. Plus Pavia won a Juco Ring in College in New Mexico.🏈B.W.
The lack of class of the Alabama players after the Vandy win speaks volumes about them now! Nick Saban never would have allowed the total lack of sportsmanship exhibited by them is disgusting!
I seen it during Saban era too but definitely worse yesterday
CLASSLESS
Give Vanderbilt credit. They led from the first second to the end. It wasn’t lucky plays, gimmick plays. Vandy played more physical than Bama yesterday. They controlled the clock, the possessions and had a great ground game.
Vandy has always been a scrappy team while maintaining HIGH academic standards ... the beat florida two years ago too and played numerous games close
Vandy played with heart and their qb was wonderful.
As a non-Bama fan: I don't like this take that "Nick Saban would never have lost this game." While he probably never would have, Saban made it clear that part of the reason he retired was after the Michigan loss it was clear that many players were more interested in 'what's in it for me and NIL?' rather than the program standards he had built.
So the idea that 'Saban would've had his team ready for this game'? Probably, but even he knew that the team mentality of college players isn't what it used to be
I saw that interview, very well said. Nice to know theirs others with objectivity.
"Team mentality?" Let me translate that for you. Saban knew that he was cooked with NIL. Bama, and other top schools, wouldn't have a monopoly on the best players. Successful programs are 70-80% talent and 20-30% coaching.
"Team mentality" has nothing to do with it. That was just a crock coaches sold. It's always about the "team" until the coach bolts for his next opportunity. Go complain about that.
That Michigan team might also be the last team we had who did it for love of the sport and their teammates. Now all our fans are screaming for NIL deals and how much we can raise to get players from other schools
And now we want to pay the little weasels.
Yeah and Saban also knew that it would level the playing field and he could no longer out recruit smaller schools anymore
Kirby Smart says it best, HUMILITY is a week away and Bama found out...
Did he suggest?
Facts
They found out quick😮
Go Dawgs!

You didn’t see La-Monroe humiliate them in front of a packed house on Senior Day at Bryant-Denny Stadium? I was left speechless and the only words I could muster : War Eagle.
@@rokyericksonroks yeah I saw that. But it was with a .500 team from the years before of coaching turmoil. Not with the stacked Saban inherited roster bama has now. I think we’ll be on hiatus for a little while lol
Absolutely no excuse for losing to vandy. None. Womack and this entire defense needs to do some serious soul searching. 67 points allowed in the last 6 quarters of football is unbelievable
It's simple vanderbilt just played better was the better team
Yep. No clue on how to stop vandy offense.

Washington fan here,
Kalen Deboer was phenomenal for us. But there were 5 wins last year against less talented teams that went down to the wire. We had a great year, but we were very, very lucky.
A bounce either way in those games and Bama never picks up the phone
@@Kim-ek2mt i told Bammers the same thing

Daboer scares me because he's inconsistent on team preparation. I e. ASU and Oregon State last year.
His pitiful selection for defense coordinator this year is a poor decision.
They laid an egg in the National Championship game. Rumor has it, Defraud was meeting with Alabama officials during the week leading up to the game. They can keep him.
The entire game up until the last 1st down, I believed that Bama would win. While not my main team, I have cheered for Vandy for the last 52 years. I never thought I would see something like this.
Who is your main team....Tennessee?
@@JK-br1mu Florida
One thing of note..
Vandy had the lead the entire game!
Nothing wrong with doing a wellness check on Paul Finebaum. Yesterday was a rough day for him.
Vandy kept Bama's offense on the sidelines. The time of possession was crazy for Vandy. The drove the ball down the field methodically eating the clock up. Their defense wasn't too bad either.
Alabama fans can sulk all they want, but this was not a result of gimmicks or luck.Vandy just physically whipped the Tide.
This was the product of game fixing. Trust me.

NEWSFLASH : Vandy has been a good team this year
Bama was tired. Their program isn’t used to playing a big game like Georgia so early in the season. Also, Deboner looked really lost on the Bama sideline yesterday.
Deboner
Classic!!
Stop giving excuses.
GA whooped Auburn. Go Dawgs!
You guys are so far off on the Saban/Deboer thing. The issue is the swarm defense and has been all year. Beck made some mistakes early on but still ended up shredding the Bama defense. If USF could hit passes they would have beat Bama too. Wisconsin had the opportunities as well and wku put together some long drives. Milroe can be on espn, he is not the problem. Womack and that doodoo scheme is the problem.
You did not beat Georgia, Georgia beat Georgia, knew it was coming!! That coach ya got! You got him!!
How right he his!! It was shameful. Alabama should be embarrassed
Coach Stallings inherited a "top tier" team back in '90.......and lost his first 3 games. He fared well b4 all was said and done. It'll be aaaiiiight fam'. Roll Tide.
Also all teams now will be able to watch the Vandy tape and get points on how to compete against them.
Bama has been rubbing their opponents faces in it for so long-I always say my favorite team(s) are anybody who beats Bama
Vanderbilt did what they should have been doing for the last 40 years…run an option offense. Most opponents will be unprepared for it since so few schools use it. Vandy can also make good use of the transfer portal…if you’re a good player but marginally NFL material or anticipate a short NFL career, why not take your last year of eligibility, compete in the SEC, AND get a degree from Vanderbilt to benefit you in a life after football?
That int killed Milroe, it would be wild if Vandy can win two more sec games and have a super year !
Winning last week was ‘rat poison’ for Alabama in prep for Vanderbilt
It wasn't rat poison the defense is trash and we saw that when georgia came back last week they can't stop the run and the dbs are suspect
Okay, but then they’re not ready to be No. 1 if that’s all it takes to rankle them.
Exactly, Kaleb got out coached.
Will forever be the Alabama coach who beat GA next week he lost to Vandy
I don’t know who could beat Vandy with that game plan. This is not old Vandy !! I really enjoyed this competitive game. They controlled the clock and their defense was incredible. Vandy was locked in from the coaching staff on down!!!! Just think how Alabama played Georgia last week. Nick Saben would have LOST TOO!!!
Lmao. Bruh we had 4 turnovers and a safety. Let's be honest. Y'all didn't beat a uga team that played well and still only lost by 7. 🤷
This is a good Vandy team catching Bama flat. RTR
Roll Anchor Roll!!!
And this folks is why coaches hate the NIL! The playing field is getting more even year and I love it!
NIL made players even more entitled than they were.
NIL has nothing to do with bama losing to vandy
Take back our country. They are plotting to destroy football. The global elite will take away football at all levels. We need to rise up. We will be speaking Chinese and eating cats and eggs next year if we do not take our country back!
@@unclejuan2274It sure did…how many players transferred out after Saban left for a better NIL deal?
Players are now allowed to move freely without the consequences of losing eligibility. This allows othe programs to recruit players during and after the season. Bama no longer can keep guys like they have done in the past and have a strangle hold on all 4-5 star recruits. This is great for the CF, but I think does need regulations.
Let's fix the UGA-BAMA narrative. Facts: Dawgs had worst start to ANY game in a decade. Made adjustments. Stopped Bama's generic scheme AND torched their defense. Bama threw up a prayer to their superstar WR and he caught it. Otherwise we'd be talkin' about their "historic collapse." Vandy exploited the weaknesses they saw on film and Bama's prayer, this time, didn't get answered.
Vanderbilt lost to Georgia State bc they’re Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt beat VA Tech and definitely should’ve beat Missouri bc they’re actually a good team. Bama will now run the table and most likely face Georgia again.
well said lol
Keep that same energy y'all have for prime when he lose😂😂👀
Now, AP needs to be 100% fair. Last 2 times UGA has lost to a ranked team, they've dropped 4 spots. Bama losing to an unranked better show up on the polls
They can't drop below Georgia.
@@jaserand6001Yes they can. This is an absolutely idiotic take. Georgia lost on the road at Bama and nearly won that game. Bama lost to an UNRANKED team... Much worse than Georgia's loss.

All they’re talking about is how bad Alabama played and giving no respect to how great Vandy played. Especially the Vandy QB.
Paul makes it sound like the world has ended....Doesn't he know that there is now a 12-team playoff at the end of the season?....Sure losing to Vandy hurts, but as of this morning, if the season ended today, Alabama would be a playoff team...
This warms my black cold heart
I will admit, After the Georgia game, Bama deserved to be ranked #1. , now they should be #10.
They didn’t deserve it 😂 they blew a 28 point lead
@@divinecodinterventionit’s not blowing a lead if you still win the game😂
Or worse
No, they didn't deserve to be #1 after last week. That's Alabama riding on the coattails of their past. Their defense almost collapsed in the second half of that game. There were questions no one asked because its Alabama.
Simply put Alabama has a new coach and many new players and they MUST prove themselves and not ride on Saban's legacy. We need to question the team and not let it pass. This isn't Saban coaching anymore. Its a new, different team.
Rankings mean jack guy. Alabama will be in the playoff vandy won't lol. 😂😂😂😂

as a bama fan id rather lose to vandy than uga. vandy executed to perfection and i saw this coming bc last week was such a big win. the way to beat bama is not letting them be on offense and not giving them the last chance to score. bama had the ball for 1 quarter of PT. embarrassing for bama to try the same defense all day when the past few games theyve done so many different formations. kind of hilarious tbh, we looked like we practiced celebrating TDs all week instead of preping for vandy.
I was amazed at the lack of pass rushing. It worked when they did it. That one or two times.
Bama defense is trash it showed when they allowed georgia to come back from a 30 point deficit they can't stop the run and there corners are weak
Did anybody mention...

Oh how they turn on their own .
Alabama blew its load on UGA. It was their Superbowl and they wanted to make it out as if they hadn't lost a step. Looks like they lost a lot more than a step.

A rivalry game, and was Auburn ranked? Get a clue.
Folks, Vanderbilt lost to Georgia State. Let that sink in for a minute!
Goodness
Looking ahead to the Tide.
It's Womack! Bama's DC running that 4-2-5! with only 2 linebackers and 5 guys in the secondary that weigh 170 lbs can't stop the run!!! Run the 3-4! 4 linebackers would have stopped that run!
Yes, and I thought it was obvious. They still need to study the game film? Hmm.
The 4-2-5 is a better, more versatile, easier to learn defense. The issue is that they lost a really good safety, in Caleb Downs, and like 6 DBs in the transfer portal when Saban retired, so they are thin in the secondary. You saw it with Georgia, the defense was lights out in the first half, and then the lack of depth in the DB area came to the surface in the 2nd half.
They definitely stopped the run against Vandy and Georgia. They held Vandy's 2 running backs, that each had over 20 carries, to under 3 yards per carry. Their issue, like with Georgia in the 2nd half, is that their DBs are getting lit up in the passing game. They lost a lot of secondary talent and depth in the transfer portal. Now, Alabama fans are getting a taste of what it's like when the 5 stars that are 2-4 on the depth chart at Alabama leave to be starters else where and they can't hog all of the talent like they did pre transfer portal and NIL. This is what talent parody looks and feels like, an L to Vandy. 🤣
When you have 2 top 50 running backs and they only get 4-5 touches a game , you may have a problem
Paul Finebalm looks like Golum!

Deboer nearly single handedly gave the semi game to texas. On the 12 yard line to go up 3 scores, with 2:20 to play, to being a carch away from a loss. Last week against georgia, thoroughly outcoached for 3 quarters. Im not sure ppl yet realize how bad that may get.
I heard if you lose to Vandy, they kick you out of the SEC for a seasons effected immediately!😛
Hey Paul suck it. You were wrong about the Dores and Vandiego. Blaming the coach for bamas players getting bullied by a bigger stronger team is a weak finebaum take. Everyone else can pay their players too now. Nashville got big money.
Yup...everybody is paying to get talent now not just the schlubs in Alabammy. Expect more hilarity to ensue. Why anyone listens to Paul Finebaum is still a mystery to me. A no talent hack.

That was awesome lol
I’m so proud of Vandy those players played there butts off, & secondly I’m so glad it happened to Alabama they needed to be brought down a notch or 2.
Loosing against a bunch of 0 stars and walk ons Alabama should be eliminated from playoffs consideration
Don't worry, let's 🙏 for a Georgia Rematch..
Vandy just physically whipped us, especially in the first half. We couldn't stop their run game up the middle and they made the plays when they had to and we didn't. It wasn't a fluke. Vandy outplayed us and deserved the win. One of the main things wrongs with NIL is the players no longer fear the coaches anywhere. They don't have to. If they're good enough they can just transfer to another school anywhere they want. The players are in charge now, not the coaches and I think that's the main reason Saban retired when he did.
Paul Finebaum is a broken clock. He's rarely right, but he is right twice a day by sheer luck
I didn't see Shannon roast anyone . I just saw a great conversation about college football 👀
Have been telling Bammers for months: you don't have a HOF coach
That is the difference. They found it out when Bear retired. Fla found it out when Meyer left. Nebraska found it out when Osborne retired.
HOF-caliber coaches matter. They make in-game decisions that win big games, and their overall decisions mean that they bury un-ranked opponents.
Bammer is about to figure it out
Go Dawgs
Years ago, at one of these SEC football programs the team wasn't winning like the fans felt it should have been and some people were threatening the coach family.
Im wondering why doesn't Paul continue to talk about "insignificant" Colorado?

I am a Bama fan and can say they got high on their own supply. The greatest win sometimes is an embarrassing loss. Prop to Vanderbilt for taking the fight to them and perhaps this may be a wake-up call
42 minutes was the time of possession for vandy to bama 17 minutes of possession. Bama offense wasnt on the field long enough. Still managed 35 points. Wasnt enough. Defense let them go 12/18 on 3rd downs. Time of possession and the inability to get off the field on 3rd downs lost bama this game. Still cant fathom how the heck you go and handle Georgia but cant handle a team that lost to Georgia state. 6 quarters the defense has collapsed. The defense has to be fixed.
