As somebody who absolutely loves the original Rampage games, this was a bit of a disappointment. The games are supposed to be mindless destruction fun, but this version has such absurd difficulty that you’re forced to constantly heal up and be very careful about smashing windows because there’s poison almost EVERYWHERE. As a matter of fact, this game gets so ridiculously difficult later on that I’m not sure if it was even designed for one player. The previous recording of this was done by another member who finished the second half with 2 players, probably precisely for that reason. This game had a lot of potential but it turned out frustratingly hard! I’ll stick with the classics. There’s also a Wii version which some sources say is exactly the same, whereas other sources say the graphics is noticably different.. so I’ll possibly be playing this again for the Wii eventually
I feel like this one had the right idea for modernizing the series (more freedom of movement, multiple ways to attack the buildings, etc), it just wasn't executed as well as it could have been. Perhaps a new one on modern hardware could fix it.
@@dawnbreaker2912 Not only that, they would have to add something creative and equally fun to the formula to keep it fresh because you can only do so much with a game of monsters destroying cities by attacking buildings and destroying vehicles. If there's one thing Rampage has as a weakness, it's how tedious the gameplay can become quickly.
I have the wii and playstation 2 versions of this game and I unlocked all the monsters and did all the challenges in the playstation 2 version of the game
I haven’t gotten far in watching this, but I ran into an early question in the opening cutscene. After the first person turned into a monster, why did they give it to another 29 people?

I didn't know it was on the NES but I find it underrated for Gamecube title.
It was a co-op game and a Single Player Challenge.
Did you play it though?
Series needs a comeback, if remade again or a collection

Loved this game as a kid. I still own this on Gamecube. I highly doubt it but i want this on switch
I gotta say. This kinda feels surprising to see a reboot series of rampage like this since Midway has had this series going for a very long time
Midway Games (1992-2010)
@@Ugly5872 yep. That’s correct…..although I think midway started out as arcade machines kinda company’s before moving into home consoles
I like how the traffic drives by like it's no big deal. Most of the Rampage games are fun.
This was my favorite game growing up
Warner Bros Games must have to make an HD Remaster for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Steam with DLC's.
I love this game! =D
I loved this game as a kid! But admittedly not sure I ever finished it, maybe because of the difficulty.
"of course the wolf flies!"
