One Shot Kill Dagon Sniping With 6x Volt Weapons in War Robots

- War Robots Gameplay using the Dagon with 6x Volt weapons. This One Shot Kill sniper setup packs a punch with 800m range and the ability to pierce through enemy defence systems. Is it worth it though? In my opinion it’s a very specialized setup and while it does do decent damage it’s not sustained damage. In a meta which involves heavy tanks, resistance and Aegis the Blight setup I did recently is far more versatile. Not only can Blight weapons work on Dagon they can work on other setups like Hawk, Nether, Khepri, Angler etc. I can’t say the same with Volt as it’s very limited in terms of what bots it’ll work on.

Something really important to note - the footage was cherry-picked. While the build itself has the potential to do a lot of damage, it really suffers on maps with a lot of cover and if the enemy is running tanks. When I faced a team with tanks such as Curies and Ochos this setup died very quickly as it didn't have the sustained firepower that Blight has. Blight is also more versatile which means you can run those weapons on other bots such as Khepri, Nether, Hawk so you're investing into multiple setups rather than one specialized build.

Great setup
It's an ok setup but I wouldn't run it myself. I can do far more carnage with Magnums or Blight.

lol, made him so angry he came back 3x only to be one shot each time. Never learned.
Crisis with 3 level 6 thermo reactors, pilot with all damage Perks and 5 seconds before overheating, shield breaker and Stellar prisma MK3. That's my annoyance bot, and it makes bots dissappear off the map in less than 2 seconds. And you can melt 6 bots if they wonder out intobthe open.
Best setup is subduer nuclear,rep,immune amps
The Volt sounds funny because it sounds like letting go of an elastic band when you fire! Lol.
Though the damage isn't super strong I actually think it's one of the more effective snipers in the game right now. Great for countering Crisis other Dagons and any other shielded bots. The reload is super fast with powerman skill. Shieldbreaker is perfect for that build too. The problem is when brawlers get up close.and personal. You would die pretty quick then.
I would actually run this set up though. I don't have six maxed Volts though and though it works I don't think it's worth the expense of maxing out six Volts.

This setup is far deadlier than the Crisis Reaper. You're right about the sound though. I was telling someone in the comments section that if you compare the sounds in the game from 2014 and 2015 we've really downgraded a lot lol. I remember the Thunder for example being terrifying (it sounded like a loud boom whenever you fired that weapon) and the Zeus charging up was frightening. Now... we have well... "pew"?

And the visual effects. I remember when chimera had thick black smoke trails, I’d buy them just for that effect. They toned it down to a grey mist.
@@Southernstar-RINO I think they had to tone the effects down a lot because mobile devices couldn't handle it. Even now mobile devices are struggling.

Given your caveat about this setup, there are a lot of players who fancy themselves as great snipers/campers…but just aren’t. They’re the ones who will stay in their camping bots too long, and lose the match for their team. But for those select few who are proficient at sniping (and I am definitely NOT one of them), I can see how this setup would really be viable.
When i play TDM i use a Spectre Wolt build and it's actually doing a good job. With the extra damage from the ability it can even one-shot kill some bots

I value ur finding but the sad part is pixo will eventually nerf the wepons even with bright when they find that many player are now using this and the player who grinds hard to uppgrade bright is the one will suffer.😢😢😢
Hey Adrian I have a question. If why not replace the second nuc amp and last stand with two thermos? I understand the last stand yes but your pilot skills are not all dmg based. (Is it because of the daredevil skill? If so I don't run it) Would it make a difference if you put a nuc amp and two thermos along with all dmg based skills? (don't forget mechanic skill)
By using Nuclear Amp and 2x Thermo it will take longer for the Nuclear Amp to charge up. If I manage to survive long enough then yes the Thermonuclears will pay off. My pilot skills are not all damage based as I need to counter balance not having the two shield skills - I actually had to make a lot of sacrifices for this build. Whenever you run Shield Breaker as an active module it's ideal to have Dodger and Modules Expert. Dodger shortens the cool down time so I can use the Shield Breaker more frequently and Modules Expert extends the time that Shield Breaker is active. Since I'm not using Unstable Conduit I also had to sacrifice another skill by using Mechanic as I had no other way to really heal unless I charged up my mothership.
I have a issue running this build. Forcefields eats the damage like crazy. Like on a lynx and seraph i barely do dmg on the first salvo. Does alternating the shots help at all?
Yeah I noticed I don't do much damage to Lynx. I'm not sure if alternating will really help here because it's not like an Aegis Shield but rather like resistance if that makes sense.
Hey you used it finally what I had suggested ! Yeah I agree though it could suffer in brawling. I’ve seen some players use the stake/needle weapons on the Dagon for brawling which can also give you a healthy amount of shield….
Additionally you mentioned the Khepri with the Blight weapons. I’m also noticing players using the dread/augmented scald on the khepri. Is that even viable ?
I tried running Scald on Dagon with the Peregrin pilot (I think that's his name?) and all damage skills but struggled against Ochos and Curies. Maybe in the lower leagues it might work but as you approach Champion League you really need that sustained damage. With the Scald, Scorcher and Incinerator I almost feel like they need more ammo in their clip - this is more to balance things more. They'll do more damage but still won't be able to compete with weapons that have faster reload but at least they'll be used more.
Yeah it does struggle against Ochos is what I’ve noticed. Either they need to reduce the reload time by 2-3 seconds or add 3-4 shots more to have more lasting damage and add another blast charge damage
Just doing base mk3 stats from Wiki:
6 Volts - 118,806
4 Webers - 118,320
4 Gauss - 126,280
So dagon is probably the better build given it's durability and shield stats. Crisis seems to risky to use and Behemoth is too slothy.

Blight is a lot stronger than Magnetars. I've actually run both along with even Tamers (this weapon will be nerfed in the next update) and Blight in my opinion is the best setup for mid-range. Hope this helps!

the first game is so funny cuz the first crisis guy absolutely raged and you killed almost all of his robots including his newton which killed your dagon
I wasn't even paying attention to the names. I just know I one shot the Crisis. Honestly I'd choose this build over Crisis Reaper any day. It might not have the range but at least the reload and fire rate is faster.

Volt dagon is a fun build but has serious limitations that make it not nearly as worth it
To those out there that wants Dagon as a Sniper but don't have Blight or Volt i would recommend Arbalest on it which is like a budget setup for Dagon (Long Range) cause i have try it, it's not too bad but again depends on the situation
Don't you have to build Arbalest in Workshop too though? Also I'm not sure if I would recommend that because other than Dagon… what other robots can you run Arbalest on where it's effective?

Try the ultimate invader with paledin ship and these wepons damper and tamer. And try my build but i dont have a dagon but i know a grest build for dagon use trixter and tamer use chrisis with thermite
now we need 4x viper crisis

This build is great for pesky Skyros.
To be honest I struggled against Skyros unless they were in attack mode.
Volt weapons firing always sounded like hawking a loogie to me.... 😂
lol it's just a puff but does a lot of damage. I miss the days of WWR where the weapons actually sounded terrifying like the Thunder weapon.

Not really trolling. Many were curious and interested in this build. I had a Patreon member tell me that he was curious about this build and was going to spend money/resources maxing it out. But… now after he's seen this footage he's not going to do it as he doesn't think it's worth it.

Naw more at the sound. The sound is so underwhelming but yet it does a lot of damage. If you compare these sounds to what they were like back in 2014 and 2015, when you heard the Thunder weapon up close for example it was terrifying or even the Zeus charging up and firing.
