Personally, I have a 'rule of 3'. So I pick out 3 tasks I absolutely need to get done for the day. Once those 3 are done, I can either rest or pick another 3 if I feel motivated enough.
I related so much when you said you’ve lost reason to get up. That’s the main reason why I’m sooooo much behind with uniwork. I just cannot get up on the mornings.
Thanks for the great tips, Vee! I like what you mean about structure and schedules. I felt like I was losing control over my life. But it's exactly things like you suggested - getting control over my day - that helped me regain that feeling. I also talked about that in my own little vlog that I just started last week! :)
I live in México, and I'm in high school, here our teachers are sending homework and proyects that we need to send, last week I was too busy with that, now I organized my days pretty good to do what I have to do, but when I finish I feel so unmotivated, lonely and sad, our president doesn't take this global crisis seriusly and we dont now what is gonna happen, our school is debating about repeat this school year..tank you so much for your videos you are a sunshine, always so positive, I admire you so much!
I'm so glad you made this video! I've been trying to do these myself on my own, but it can kind of be hard. Hearing someone else struggle the same as me is really giving me motivation! I hope you and your family are staying healthy, and if you're reading this tell your mom that she is appreciated not just in the UK but all over the world for fighting on the front lines.
Hi Vee!! I really like your channel. I am going through the same thing with staying up really late and genuinely feel like I've "lost my reason to get up". It seems that it's only rational that we should be able to get up anyway but it's so much harder when you don't have a place to go to or in-person socialising !! I'm happy that you shared that because I thought I was just being a lazy bum and felt really bad but now I know I'm not the only one going through this. I asked my friend who lives in another time zone to call me mornings my time and make sure I get out of bed and turn the kettle on before I have a chance to go back to bed again. Hopefully, we can all have a productive quarantine!! Also, I love that you take into consideration that everyone's living situation is different, that's really awesome of you.
I am in my last semester of college as an undergrad. All of my classes are now online and I have been home feeling unmotivated. One thing that's helped is having my phone taken away so that I can get work done. I've also found that caffeine is good for mediocre tasks that don't require a lot of thinking but do require energy and motivation. I got a powerpoint project done in 5 hours last night and I've had it for over a month and a half. Another thing is having a designated workspace. I have a desk that looks out to my neighborhood and I try to keep the curtains open for some of that vitamin D. I also almost always have a beverage with me- water, tea, coffee, even alcohol at times.
I 100% recommend learning a language and watching Ikenna's videos to help with this! It makes my days feel a bit more structured when I do schoolwork earlier in the day and end my days with growing personal interests like language learning.
Thank you so much vee!! You are such an amazing person!!!!!!!! There aren't any other words to describe you youre just a really nice person! 🥺🥺🥺😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Hi Vee, my name is Arianna and I'm from Italy. Recently I suscribed to your channel and I like your videos so much. Thank you for this motivational video ❤️
"What are you doing to stay productive?" I'm watching this video. :) Watching your crisis essay videos has helped me knuckle down a bit and figure out where I am going with a 3,000-word essay I have due soon. Then of course, I HAD to watch your "how to stay motivated" videos. ^_^ Thanks for the content. It's encouraging just to see someone else going through the same things and coming out victorious on the other side.
i know how you feel about not being able to get up and going to bed late, im fine when i have to get up for work/school but when i dont i sleep till the afternoon :( ive been trying to go sleep earlier and earlier this week, and im finally back on track with my work. ive been taking advantage of my daily walk though, i miss walking to and from uni :< wish u the best vee
Hi Vee! I just wanted to say thank you so much for everything you do. Your passion about education for youth is so inspiring and your journey has been so inspiring for me. I've been struggling so much with structuring my day with isolation and your videos have been amazing! Sending you lots of love from a little corner in Wales :) xx
Thank you so much for the video, safe my day!! i need more of this energy in the future!! please take care and hope your mom could work under safe situation! i hope UK and other European countries will fight this virus very soon!!! love from china ❤️
Hi Vee 👋. You are simply precious and a very smart young lady t'boot. I really enjoyed your vid - I just stumbled across it - not even sure what thread I followed but I'm glad to be here. Our ages are quite far apart, like I could be your grandma, albeit a very COOL grandma! 😏😁. I just wanted to tell you how pleased and touched I was to hear you recommend reading a book. I've started booksmithing - actually physically making books from, I dunno, a cereal box or something. I make the cover and the spine then create the pages that'll go inside, designing and decorating each one, then I sew it all together. If you've ever heard of junk journaling, that's pretty much the same thing. Anyway, I'm off on a tangent here. The concern amongst all these crazy people making books from cereal boxes is that books will just disappear, what with everything being available on line now. We think that books, especially vintage or antique ones, are so very special cuz you can hold it in your hand and feel the textures of the pages and if they're really old they even have kind of a musty smell (ewww 😝, right?). Yet again I digress... You made my day when you recommend reading a book and enjoying the places your mind can take you while you read. Thanks for that🤗. With love and gratitude from the Southern California desert, MK ♥️🌵🏜️
feeling unmotivated is one of the worst thing ever especially if you are a youtuber. Keep reminding yourself why you start it in the first place. I know this might not be about that but it reminds me of my youtube experience.
e. o. e e. o. e e. o. e e. o. e Ya! On a normal school year (one without corona) we do end school is June. Where you’re from... where do you end school?
I think a lot of you guys are feeling similar how introverts feel. With little or no social interaction than you normally use to, causes you guys to be feel tired, anxious, and trying to find strategies to keep yourself occupied and motivated all the time. It's takes a lot of energy out of you, especially if any of you guys are extroverts. Within a social setting, that charges ya'lls energy. Whereas with introverts, within a quiet setting and hours of being along charges our energy. And yes even introverts like to be engage in social settings and other activities with people, but again, that takes a lot of energy and planning. It's all about adaptation, which is something a lot of us introverts have to do within social settings and other things beside social settings. I've heard a lot of people are experiencing sadness, lonely, and frustration at this time. Strangely enough, those are some of the similar feelings (not every introverts feel this, different for each person) that some introverts feel within a social setting and with other activities. I'm well aware that a lot of you guys are not use to it because of the pandemic (on top of other things that the pandemic has caused), which understandably makes things more difficult for each of us.
I think everyone downloads Tim tik ironically and then falls in love with it lol. If been learning new dances, trying new recipes, I bought a DS and I've been obsessed with animal crossing new leaf 😖😂 I'm a herbit so I'm not really struggling with the lockdown plus I still have uni work to do
I go for a walk every day, but I just do not enter any building. I keep my mouth covered and try to keep social distance from people. I just do my daily chores, sing, cook, watch T.V., listen to music, and work in my laptop.
Could you schedule a live stream and try to learn something new with us or do something with us? Like you tell everyone to get out a pen and paper and we start drawing together, and at the end we can share our works online on Instagram and such. Make a hashtag like #QuarantineProductivityWithVee or something like that. Some people might not have many friends that they know or who are willing to talk to them. Thanks! :)
I love your videos so much, but I feel like your sugar coating everything. It is almost impossible to feel motivated to study when all this shit is going on I get that you go to a high Uni and everything but you act like nothing is going on in your life to affect your studies. Like how are you happy all the time??? I just don’t get it. Once again I love your videos and not hating but not everything in life is Perfect, much love Vee
Vee Kativhu This was a great video, and I thought you were super realistic! Ive been so depressed and unmotivated, but Im going to try to put the pedal to the medal with the advice you gave here.

Thats so so smart I might do the same but with 5 or 6 things because thats usually the amount of things I HAVE to do
I related so much when you said you’ve lost reason to get up. That’s the main reason why I’m sooooo much behind with uniwork. I just cannot get up on the mornings.
