Mandolin Solo
German bowlback mandolin by W. Deschler
This melody is contained in a book with title "Die Mandoline" with a large collection of mandolin solos that has been published in East Germany (DDR) around 1980. A great collection for mandolin players!

Thanks for inspiring me to buy a mandolin. I just learned this piece and it's so easy to learn! Are you the author of the piece? If so, I will give you credit as the author because I want to perform this piece on a video. If there are more pieces, let me know and I will credit you as the author. I already got some pdf files with mandolin songs.
Thanks for your kind words - and that you play the mandolin! The melody is a folk tune from Hungary, the arrangement is by myself. on my website mandoisland.de you can find many free mandolin methods and free sheet music.
@@MandoIsland Thanks, I will credit you when I upload my video performing this piece. From now on you are my mandolin mentor. I am a classical guitarist and I wanted to learn a new instrument. I searched for mandolin on youtube and I found this video. It took me 1 day to learn this Hungarian Dance piece. It is so easy to learn compared to most classical guitar pieces. I will check your site. Thanks.
Great, I hope that you find everything you need to learn to play the mandolin!

Thanks for your comment! Great that you like this tune! Where do you live?
I am living in Ankara (Turkey).
Do you have information about the mandolin in Turkey? I have seen mandolins in pictures from the Village Institutes from 1940 - 1950, and I know Kerim and Selim Altinok. I have some mandolin methods from Turkey too.
l live in Ankara in Turkey.
Yes, I have. Mandolin... It was simged in the Village Institues of my country. It is a Spanish mandolin (Esteve) your seen in the picture. But I have one more, an old mandolin (Turkish Metin) Mandolin was forgetten in my country, what a pity. I had lerned to play mandolin 60 years ago in Village İnstitüe 1956 - 1960 and I played since 60 years. I play it now. The Village Institues was finished in the year 1954. When I educated they were now teacher schools.
