So I’m posting this because it seems that it’s not necessarily a common issue that needs to be resolved in order for the SSD to be useable, and I just wanna post what I did to fix the issue. So I installed RAM and a new Samsung 860 Evo 500gb. RAM fit like a glove and was instantly seen by the system, the SSD on the other hand took some digging to find after installing. Most videos and solutions said that you’d be able to just initialize the device from the disc management tool. Nope, the disc management tool wasn’t seeing it either. So here’s where I had to go in order to get it working. Search bar -> Device Manager -> IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers (mine showed a Standard SATA ACHI Controller wasn’t working properly “Code 19”) -> right click -> uninstall device -> click okay -> reinstall. Should be working just fine after that. THEN I had to go to Disk management where I was prompted to initialized the disk and after that it started working. I was freaking out because I thought I had destroyed it somehow. Very glad to know that wasn’t the case.
Recently bought this exact model and I downloaded one game and almost immediately was out of storage and looking for upgrades online was confusing me since I’m not a PC-builder of any kind but checking your description helped me A LOT! Didn’t even hesitate on subscribing to this channel! Thank you!
